With the rise of digital technology,Internet technology,mobile communication technology and other emerging technologies,we bid farewell to the traditional media era and ushered in the new media era.The equal,free,and open media environment of the new media has reshaped the fan culture.More and more fans have moved from offline to online,forming a large-scale virtual network fan group.As a highly ornamental and competitive sport,basketball has a broad mass base and a large number of target audiences in our country,which is typical and representative.The new media practice of basketball fans has formed a unique cultural landscape.This article takes the basketball fan group as the research object,uses participatory observation,in-depth interviews,and case analysis as the research methods,and comprehensively uses relevant theories of Journalism,sociology and other disciplines to analyze how the fan group constructs and realizes its identity under the new media platform.And,explore the practical significance of the fan's online identity to the individual and society,and at the same time look at the problems exposed in the process of fan identity from a critical perspective,and put forward feasible suggestions for promoting the healthy and orderly development of fan culture.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is an overview of the fan group.It defines the basketball fan group that is the research object of this article,and makes a simple classification.It focus on the analysis of the favorable conditions of the identity of the fan group under the new media platform,and clarify the media environment of the core issue studied in this article.The second and third chapters are the main part of this article.The second chapter clarifies the integrity of the construction of the identity of the fan community from the two aspects of self-identification and group identification,with the help of Hupu,Weibo,Live Bar,Tencent Sports Community and other media platforms Process.The Chapter 3 cuts into the three perspectives of social interaction,online public welfare,and cultural consumption,and aims to illustrate the positive meaning brought by the identity of fans.The Chapter 4 points out the practical problems of information cocoon rooms,online violence,and lack of socialist values in the process of using new media by fan groups.Finally,I put forward my own opinions and suggestions on these problems.
