The organic integration of information technology and mathematics teaching is the inevitable trend of the development of the times and the necessary means of teaching reform.The Network Sketchpad is a newly developed open and shared mobile mathematics laboratory based on the Super Sketchpad developed by academician Zhang Jingzhong.It has many functions such as symbolic computation,automatic reasoning and programming which are not available in many mathematical software such as the Geometer's Sketchpad.According to the idea of mathematics curriculum reform in junior middle school,this paper applies the Network Sketchpad to the teaching of function in junior middle school,promotes the understanding of function knowledge of students,enhances the students' mathematics accomplishment,and improves the teaching efficiency of the classroom.The concrete research content divides into the following three aspects: 1.The advantage,principle,mode and value analysis of the application of the network sketchpad in the function teaching of junior high school;2.The investigation on the application and influencing factors of information technology in mathematics teaching in junior middle school;3.Through the experimental research of the Network Sketchpad in the function teaching of junior high school,this paper discusses the influence of the application of the network sketchpad to the teachers and students.The experimental research shows that the application of the Network Sketchpad in junior middle school function teaching can stimulate students' learning interest and intrinsic curiosity,improve learning efficiency and improve learning achievement,the Network Sketchpad has become a laboratory for students' independent inquiry andcooperative learning,enhancing the students' ability of visual imagination and self-exploration.At the same time,the Network Sketchpad can help teachers carry out mathematical inquiry and enhance the teaching effect,the ability of teaching and research has been improved.The results of this paper will enrich and develop the theory and method of applying information technology in teaching.The use of the Network Sketchpad will help to improve improve the students' mathematical thinking ability,intuitive imagination ability and inquiry ability.At the same time,as an auxiliary teaching tool,the Network Sketchpad has brought the positive influence to the teacher's teaching and the student's study,has the strong application value.
