With the rapid development of society,the new concept of talent development,people with core literacy needed in future education in the 21 st century,is gradually emerging.Among the six core literacy of mathematics subjects proposed in the General Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition),mathematical operation literacy is the foundation of other literacy on which they can be developed and cultivated.Survey methods,interview methods,and literature research methods will be used in this research to probe into three major questions : What is the current status of high school freshmen's literacy in "logarithmic" mathematical operations? What are the factors influencing the development of "logarithmic" mathematical literacy for high school students? How to promote the development of "logarithmic" mathematical literacy for high school students?The study was conducted among students of grade one who are from two senior high schools in different levels in Hubei Province.The main conclusions are drawed as follows: the overall level of students in "logarithmic" mathematical operation literacy is average;Better performance in situations and problems,knowledge and skills.Poor performance in thinking and expression,communication and reflection;the total influencing factors in terms of correlation with horizontal levels,student factors> logarithmic learning understanding> teacher factors;logarithmic learning comprehension factors in relation to level,Logarithmic formula memory>Understanding of logarithmic definition;Student factors in relation to level,non-intelligent factors> Learning strategies.Through the analysis of typical errors,it was found that the grade one students in senior high school could not memorize accurately and use the concepts flexibly,properties,and algorithms of logarithms to solve the problems.There were problems such as the inability to comprehensively use the known conditions of the topic,the inability to determine the operation object in real situations,and the rigorous review of questions..Through student interviews andteacher interviews,it was found that good learning strategies and self-efficacy,detailed blackboard writing of the teacher's calculation process,explanation of error-prone calculation principles,and analysis of the pros and cons of different solutions are important factors affecting students' problem solving.According to the above affecting factors,seven teaching suggestions will be given: focusing on the use of blackboards to show the thinking process of computation;guiding the analysis of computing methods to find the best solution;training students 'computing speed;explaining the principles of error-prone computing;cultivating students' self-efficacy;focusing on Cultivate cognitive strategies to improve learning ability;correctly understand computing objects by creating problem situations.According to the teaching suggestions,compile the teaching design of "Concept of Logarithm" and "Operation of Logarithm" to promote the development of "logarithmic" mathematical operation literacy for freshman students.It is hoped that this research can arouse the attention of teachers in "first-line" high schools to the teaching of "Logarithm" mathematical operation.
