| As an effective approach for teachers’ professional development,teaching reflection is beneficial in improving teachers’ teaching level and promoting professional growth.Beginning teachers,as a special group within teachers’ career path,it is particularly important for them to make reflections.Understanding the current situation and the influencing factors of primary school beginning teachers’ teaching reflection is an important subject.This study takes the teaching reflection of primary school beginning teachers as the research topic,mainly adopts the literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and product analysis method to investigate the reflection status of 30 primary school beginning teachers in Xinxiang City.The results of investigation show that there currently mainly exist the following problems: teachers’ insufficient understanding of teaching reflection,unclear purpose of teaching reflection,lack of depth and breadth in teaching reflection,limited perspective in teaching reflection,and monotony in teaching reflection.The above problems are caused both by teachers themselves and also the schools.The causes made by teachers are listed as,weak in demand for professional development,backward in teaching concept,and lack of theoretical knowledge in teaching reflection.Then as for the schools,main reasons includes unreasonable work arrangement,unsound evaluation mechanism and weak teaching reflective atmosphere.Considering the problems in the reflection of primary school teachers and the reasons responsible for them,this study puts forward corresponding improvement strategies from both the teachers and the schools.In terms of the teachers,it is recommended to make individual professional development plans with scientific approaches,constantly update teaching concepts,enrich theoretical knowledge and accumulate in reflection experience.On the other hand,schools are advised to provide conditions for reflection,reduce the teaching burden of teachers,optimize the evaluation mechanism,attach importance to teaching reflection,create reflective atmosphere and strengthen cooperation and communication. |
