Teachers are the source of power to improve the quality of education and the inheritors of human civilization.Teachers quality occupies a dominant position in the development of education.In order to improve the social status of teachers,setting the role of outstanding teachers,and promote the development of education in Shenzhen,the Shenzhen Municipal Committee took the lead in carrying out annual teacher selection throughout the country,bringing front-line teachers to the stage and becoming the representative and window of teachers images.Shenzhen annual teachers are the leading representatives of front-line teachers.Their professional development story,solid professional knowledge,lofty teacher ethics and superb teaching ability can motivate and guide frontline teachers to continuously improve themselves.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the professional development of Teachers of the year.This research uses narrative study method to focus on individual experience,and discovering Individual significance through in-depth interviews with four teachers of the year,collecting and analyzing the relevant stories of their professional development to sort out the common characteristics and analyzing the internal characteristics as well as summarizing their growth path.This research mainly draws the following conclusions.Firstly,the professional development of teachers of the year is a long-term development process and shows a spiraling upward trend,which is driven by the outside world and teachers’ self-renewal attitude.Secondly,it is found that teachers of the year have common characteristics,including positive professional cognition,student-oriented philosophy,solid professional knowledge,superb education and teaching ability,and outstanding education and scientific research ability.They have established role models for front-line teachers.Thirdly,summarizing the growing path of the teachers of the year,including adhering to lifelong learning,introspection and reflection,bravely face to toughness and persistence and never give up.These are the inexhaustible source,internal motivation and important spiritual core of their professional development;In addition,the professional development of teachers of the year is inseparablefrom external conditions and support.School cultivation,family support and policy guidance are the guarantee of professional development.Finally,based on the analysis of the common characteristics and paths of professional development of teachers of the year,strategies for promoting professional development of teachers are proposed through the points of view form individual,school and policy.
