With the development of modern society,the demand for talents has changed,and the educational concept has gradually become "people-oriented".Mathematics learning not only pays attention to the study of studentsundefined mathematics knowledge,but also pays more attention to improving studentsundefined core literacy of mathematics.As an important part of the development of studentsundefined core literacy,"symbolic consciousness" is an important goal and requirement of mathematics teaching task in junior middle school,and occupies an important position in the field of mathematics teaching.The seventh grade is the key period for students to transition from primary school to middle school,and more attention should be paid to the cultivation of studentsundefined symbolic consciousness.Based on the investigation of the level of symbolic consciousness of students in this important grade stage,this paper probes into and analyzes the present situation of the development of symbolic consciousness of students in this stage by combining qualitative and quantitative methods,and what measures should be taken by teachers to improve the symbolic consciousness of seventh grade students.In the process of testing and investigating the seventh graders,it is found that the present situation of the development of symbolic consciousness of the seventh graders in Ganzhou,Jiangxi Province is as follows:(1)the number of students in the two dimensions of the perception of mathematical symbols and the operation of mathematical symbols is more,and the order of the development level of symbolic consciousness is: the operation,perception and expression of mathematical symbols.Reasoning.(2)the seventh grade students are weak in the reasoning of mathematical symbols and the expression dimensions of mathematical symbols.(3)in the four dimensions of perception,operation,reasoning and expression of mathematical symbols,the number of students at level 0(the front hierarchy corresponding to solo classification theory)is too large.(4)the perception and reasoning of mathematical symbols in urban schools and urban schools,There are differences in expression dimension.(5)there is no difference between men and women in the development of mathematical symbolic consciousness of seventh grade students.After determining the present situation of the development of the seventh graders,it is very important to put forward effective solutions or constructive suggestions to the existing problems.Therefore,in view of the problems existing in the symbolic consciousness of the seventh graders in Ganzhou,Jiangxi Province,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: first,to reason with the studentsundefined personal experience;second,to encourage students to express symbols;third,to strengthen the study of mathematics teaching materials;and fourth,to increase the investment in education in urban schools.In summary,in the process of practical research,this paper draws lessons from the theoretical views,research results and practical experience of some experts and scholars in the field of mathematics and education,and integrates the teaching experience and related thinking of many front-line teachers.On the basis of understanding the present situation of the development of symbolic consciousness of seventh-grade students,this paper provides practical reference opinions for seventh-grade teachers from a new angle,so as to enhance studentsundefined symbolic consciousness.
