Objective: in view of the lack of health education in middle school and the existing problems, according to the guiding outline of health education in primary and secondary schools and the standard of physical education and health curriculum, this paper explores and designs the "health + physical education" teaching mode of integrating health education into middle school physical education, and verifies the actual effect of integrating health education into middle school physical education through teaching and learning experiments. Methods: four classes in grade one of Qingyun campus of Nanchang No.3 middle school education group were randomly divided into two experimental classes and two control classes. The experimental class adopts the teaching mode of "health + physical education",integrates the health education into the physical education class, and implements the teaching scheme of combining the health education with the school physical education practice class;the control class adopts the traditional middle school physical education teaching mode, supplemented by a small amount of Physical Education theory course, and implements the teaching scheme of focusing on the school physical education practice course.By using the methods of questionnaire and mathematical statistics, the indexes of students' physical health level, health knowledge and health behavior before and after the teaching experiment were compared and analyzed. On this basis, the multiple linear regression model is used to analyze the influence of health knowledge, living habits and eating habits on students' physique,so as to measure the influence of health education with health knowledge and health behavior as the main content on students' physique and health level.Results:(1)there was a significant difference between boys in experimental class and control class in standing long jump and 1000 meter run(P < 0.05),and in these two indexes, the performance of experimental class was better;there were significant differences between girls in experimental class and control class in three indexes(P < 0.05),especially in experimental class, make greater progress.(2)According to the comparative analysis of Health Questionnaire scores, there were significant differences(P < 0.05)in the scores of three dimensions of health knowledge, health behavior and healthy eating habits between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was better than the control class, but there was no significant difference in the scores of health behavior habits(P > 0.05).The girls in the two classes scored in the two dimensions of health knowledge and healthy eating habits There was significant difference(P < 0.05),the experimental class was better than the control class, but there was no significant difference in the scores of healthy behavior and healthy behavior habits(P > 0.05).(3)The results of multiple linear regression model show that health knowledge, behavior habits and eating habits have no significant effect onthe improvement of students' physical health, but from the subdivided factors of physical health, behavior habits can enhance students' physical quality to a certain extent, behavior habits and eating habits can improve students' flexibility and strength, while physiological factors are not significantly regulated by health knowledge, behavioral habits and dietary habits. Conclusion: the integration of health education into middle school physical education is conducive to promoting students to master health knowledge, establish healthy behavior, and promote the improvement of students' physical health level, and the introduction of "health +physical education" teaching mode to some extent improves students' physical health.
