At the present stage of primary and secondary education,it is a very important part to cultivate and improve learners' spatial thinking ability.Good spatial thinking ability can provide learners with effective help and support when receiving education in most basic subjects, such as mathematics, physics, geography, etc.,which has become the focus and research content of many educational researchers.Among the many ways to improve spatial thinking ability, virtual reality technology has become an excellent training method with its unique advantages.Scientific, reasonable, and full use of the characteristics of "interaction" and "immersion" of virtual reality technology can effectively interfere with the spatial thinking ability of learners, which greatly makes up for the lack of traditional teaching methods in training spatial thinking ability, and enables learners Both psychologically and physically are more acceptable. The ability of spatial thinking has the characteristics of abstraction, logic, and diversity, and most of the learners in middle school have great improvement space in the use and development of this ability. However, there are very few educational applications of spatial thinking ability that can make full use of virtual reality technology to improve learner goals.Existing virtual reality technology is complex and diverse. How to use appropriate and meet the needs of virtual reality technology to improve the spatial thinking ability of learners,so as to lay the foundation for the learning of other related knowledge,is the most important issue at present.Desktop virtual reality technology has become the first choice for the development of this paper due to its low cost, easy implementation, wide application, and semi-immersion.Therefore,based on the existing learning theory and technical support, this paper selects desktop virtual reality technology as technical support, and develops a concise and effective virtual reality application model for the attributes of rotation, folding, and expansion in spatial thinking ability. The main research tools are used to improve the spatial thinking ability of junior high school students.A series of teaching experiments have been carried out and the experiments have been fully researched.By using data mining technology to analyze the performance characteristics, scoring scores, interaction behavior and other data of the subjects, research and analysis from the gender, high and low scores and other aspects. After research, the results obtained are as follows:1)After using the virtual reality application, the learners of the subjects were significantly affected in spatial thinking ability, and were effectively improved by intervention.2)After comparison of experimental data, there was no obvious difference in the gender, high and low scores of the learners, and it provided reference and guidance for the development of other related applications.3)In terms of learner behavior interaction, the data of mining participants and their association rules were used to study the interaction data of the learners. To sum up,this model considers both education theory and virtual reality technology,so that the combination of theory and technology provides a certain guidance and support for the design and implementation of VR-supported applications. In the process of application development, combined with the application development process and system development theory, education theory is integrated into it,fully considering the user experience and interaction design of the application,so that VR applications for space capabilities have scientific and reasonable educational support. It provides a reference for the current research and teaching practice of using highly available desktop VR devices with limited funding and environmental support.
