As a compulsory part of the new curriculum standard,art appreciation course in senior high school plays an important role in the overall art teaching.This course has a high rate of opening,but it is lack of practicality in actual teaching,which leads to students' learning is more boring,and the final effect of art appreciation course teaching is not ideal.On the other hand,through the analysis of the content of the high school people's beauty edition of art appreciation textbook,it is found that the content of the textbook contains too much conceptual knowledge and is too professional,which makes it difficult for teachers to design understanding teaching and students to participate in understanding learning.TFU(Teaching for understanding)teaching mode was put forward by the "zero point project" studio of Harvard University in the 1990 s,with the idea of "teaching for understanding" as the core,mainly including four parts: heuristic thesis,understanding goal,understanding activity and continuous evaluation.Compared with the traditional teaching method of art appreciation,the teaching design under the TFU teaching mode can help students better understand the teaching content of art appreciation in high school and improve their understanding,so as to achieve the purpose of cultivating students' core quality of art discipline in the process of understanding learning.This paper combs the TFU teaching mode and the research status of the understanding learning of high school art appreciation through literature review,Based on the summary of TFU teaching mode,this paper analyzes the feasibility of applying the mode to the teaching of art appreciation in senior high school from three aspects:the current situation of art appreciation teaching in senior high school,the content of art appreciation textbook in senior high school,and the significance of cultivating students' aesthetic understanding.On the basis of theoretical exploration,this paper analyzes the process of comprehensible teaching design,and investigates the current situation of students' learning before the practice of teaching cases,Make the teachingdesign of practical cases better combine the students' understanding in the study of the high school people's beauty edition of art appreciation.Through the analysis of the results of case practice,the teaching effect of TFU in promoting students' understanding learning is verified,It is concluded that the application of TFU teaching mode plays an active role in promoting students' understanding learning and cultivating students' core quality of art discipline.Finally,according to the limitations and deficiencies of the research,the paper makes a prospect of TFU teaching mode better in the application of art appreciation teaching in the Art appreciation of high school human beauty Edition.
