As we all know,the behavior of cognition is the processing activity of information during the individual’s recognition towards the objective world.Since the late 1970 s,Cognition Research began to focus on how the cognition happened in daily life,which was somehow verified by the proposal of “Extended mind”.With the emerging of the second-generation cognition science--embodied cognition,human’s body has also been regarded as the main carrier of cognition.And with the rising of extended cognition,people began to think that cognition is not an activity confined to people’s head,but body actions,people’s consciousness,and experience all have great influence on the process of cognition.Recently,there are some problems existing in the domestic primary and secondary school teaching,such as the lack of body involvement and cognitive tools.First,the class activities don’t pay much attention to the great impact of the individual’s actions,consciousness and experience on the learning process.Second,the class sometimes ignored the usage and value of cognitive tools.So,under the new theoretical perspective,it is necessary for us to think over how to improve the teaching design.This paper,centering on the theory of “The boundary of Cognition” and class teaching design,has mainly illustrated the following three aspects: first,based on the Documentary Research method,especially the summary and conclusion of foreign documents,this paper has introduced the researching background as well as the existing findings of boundary cognition theory and the status quo of teaching design under this theory.Also,after summarizing the core ideas of this theory,this paper has analyzed its relations with teaching design as well as its main ideas about learning.Second,following the method of phenomenology,the author has extracted the researching goals of this paper from the existing findings and with the guidance of boundary cognition theory,this paper intended to study China’s teaching design situation.Finally,from the technology perspective,this paper probed into the new concepts of teaching environment and activity design,and also tried to build a teaching design frame which collects all the key points of boundary cognition theory.In all,the new findings of cognition theory and the current teaching demand all require that the body and the tools of extended cognition be employed to the practical class teaching.This view is both beneficial to teachers as well as students. |
