Marx's Theory Of Population And Its Contemporary Significance

The population problem is widely concerned by the world.Fundamentally,the population problem is “the contradiction between human and the nature and between human and human” and “the struggle between existence and essence,between objectification and self-confirmation,between the nature and necessity,and between individuals and classes”.The contemporary significance of Marx's population theory can only be clarified if the contemporary population problem is properly understood and its solution explored from the perspective of human emancipation,with the goal of comprehensive human development at the center.To explore Marx's population theory and the development of population thought in human society philosophically can not only help us know the reason of development and distribution of modern social population and find the regular cognition from it,but also can be the guidance and reference for us to make the population development strategy.This paper takes Marxist population theories as object of study,combined with the changing history the sinicization of Marxist population theories,This paper includes4 parts:the first part: the background and resource of the formation of Marx's population theory.In this part,the paper mainly organizes the historical conditions of Marx's population theory and the actual state of population development in the free competition era in capitalism development,which combines the inheritance and development of Marx's prominent contribution to the ancient Greek population thought and classical political economics to get theoretical premise of scientific population theory from the point of the most fundamental interests of people.The second part: the formation and theory of Marx's population theory.In this part,this paper fully explores and analyzes the germination,formation,enrichment and development of Marx's population theory,in which the background and main achievements in each stage of Marx's population theory is analyzed.The third part:the content of Marx's population theory.which mainly expounds the two production theories,population quality theory,relative overpopulation theory and population growth theory.The fourth part: the modern meaning of Marx's population theory.Based on Marxist population theories,starting from the course of history and internal logic of population development in China,this paper explores the main source of contemporary population problems and analyzes the important philosophical significance of Marxist population theories under the current population crisis.
