The international politics of 20 th century witnessed the appearance of a variety thoughts and political activities different from liberalism appeared. The emergence of fascism, green pacifism, feminism and other ideological trends affected current situation in different countries.Accompanied by great changes the world has been going through today, populist thoughts have quietly risen, and in the mid-20 th century, populist parties begun to step onto the political stage of Western Europe. At this time in Britain,Conservative Party and Labor Party had completed the "consensus politics" route since World War II.With the failure of Keynesian state intervention, the ideology of British political parties has undergone profound changes. At the time when many European countries set off an upsurge of "monetarism",Britain embraced "Thatcherism".In this context,British populist parties began to enter political arena in Britain. In the late 20 th century,in addition to National Front, populist parties registered in UK also added British National Party,UK Independence Party and Brexit Party. Many of them successfully mobilized voters and grown from a small marginal party to a political force with appeal among certain groups of people and constituencies, while others were gradually phased out of the mainstream stage and become marginal protest parties. In the first 10 years of the 21 st century, issues such as the financial crisis and the debt crisis of EU countries shaken the purpose of European integration. After refugee wave caused by the war in Syria in 2015 which caused dissatisfaction among EU member states, the relationship between Britain and Europe also ushered in a turning point in 2016.Brexit issue that appealed to the referendum was analyzed and answered from multiple angles, and political commentary in UK attributed it to "a victory for populism." But after the referendum ended, upward momentum of British Independence Party came to an abrupt halt.Voters of the original Independence Party turned to support Conservative Party, and a small amount flowed into Labor Party and Liberal Democratic Party. From the perspective of development,British National Front and British National Party are attempts and transformations made by populist parties in British political arena.British Independence Party has undergone transformation on the basis of them and became a successful representative populist parties in UK.The subsequent establishment of Brexit Party is a transition from extreme right populists represented by Farage after Independent Party's political bargaining chips were exhausted. In terms of its influence,as far as the domestic influence of the United Kingdom is concerned, the rationality and forward-looking nature of political decision-making has been weakened, and restructuring of party camps has been forced;it has exerted great impact on the secondary political culture;and, thus has triggered the horizontal and vertical secondary political culture. At the level of political stability, the risk of political instability has increased. The impact on the international community has boosted the tide of anti-globalization and brought new challenges to Sino-British relations.
