Based on the previous theory of essential characteristic of communication,this paper put forward the concept of “gap-task”that can be conducted in language teaching.To make an activity resemble real life,you need a gap(communicative gap),which mainly includes “information-gap”,“reasoning-gap”and “opinion-gap”.In this artical,we discuss the application of “gap-task” in intermediate oral Chinese teaching.Firstly,We define some main concepts related to “gap-task”,which include“gap”,“tasks”,“information”,“information-gap”,“information-gap tasks”,“opinion-gap tasks”and“reasoning-gap tasks”.Secondly,we analyze the feasibility of applying the “gap-task” to the intermediate oral Chinese teaching based on the analysis of the targets and the characteristics of intermediate oral Chinese teaching.The three types of “gap-task”both have its merits and can be conducted in intermediate oral Chinese teaching.Finally,we introduce several types of “information-gap”,“reasoning-gap”and“opinion-gap” that can be used in intermediate oral Chinese teaching.Additionally,we show the basic steps and the notices needed to be paid attention to during the activities.Then,we show how the principle of "gap" is applied to the intermediate oral Chinese teaching.In the end of the paper,we summarized the principles of using“gap-task” in intermediate oral Chinese teaching. |
