Research On An Jing Xixuan's "Zuo Zhuan Ji Shi"

Being one of the most important classics in China,Zuo Zhuan has always been the focus of academies in the world.For its special value,Zuo Zhuan not only has a long history of research and abundant research works but also influences Japan from many perspectives.The specific time when Zuo Zhuan was sent to Japan is yet to find,but based on what we know now,Zuo Zhuan has appeared in Japan's laws and orders for 7 to 8 centries,showing a strong impact on the Japanese ruling class.The research of Zuo Zhuan in Japan started early,until the Edo,Meiji period,there were countless scholars and works in this field.Yasui Sokken was one of those scholars who had a gigantic influence on society in that era,this thesis's research object Zuo Zhuan Ji Shi is one of his works in his late 70's.Influenced by his father,Yasui Sokken had a strong interest in Chinese classics since young.Yasui Sokken had studied in many places,with many teachers during his lifetime,deeply influenced by their academic spirits and historical environment,Yasui Sokken's academic style shows a tendency to draw strength from other schools and follow what he thought was right after cautious literature review.In Zuo Zhuan Ji Shi,Yasui Sokken combed in detail the explanation of certain words,objects,and principles,then gave his personal opinions on these subjects.During this process,he did not follow former scholars' works blindly or accuse certain ideas without thinking,but study classics and researched carefully then give his own review.This thesis starts with research of Yaui Sokken himself,combines historical background and his personal experience together,sorting out his life and academic sources.Then analyses Zuo Zhuan Ji Shi's inheritance from Du Yu' Chun Qiu Jing Zhuan Ji Jie,and gives a conclusion about Zuo Zhuan Ji Shi's notation features which influenced deeply by the Qing Dynasty academy.The third part discusses people-rooted thoughts revealed from Zuo Zhuan Ji Shi basing on textual research,then gives a brief comment on its academic value.The last chapter disscuss certain ideas in Zuo Zhuan Ji Shi in philolgical way.
