A Study Of Dance Aesthetics In The Book Of Rites And Music

As an important document of Confucian classics and the nineteenth chapter in "Li Ji","Yue Ji" is famous for its rigorous logic,conciseness and comprehensiveness.It is rarely surpassed by many historical documents about dance thought in the past dynasties.This paper takes "dance" as the research point of view,and uses exegesis and textual research as the studying method,trying to re-examine the "Li Ji Yue Ji" from a dance aesthetic perspective,refine its dance aesthetic thoughts,and further connect contemporary aesthetic research,contemporary Confucian values,the development of contemporary dance education,the construction of contemporary Chinese classical dance,and the research method on contemporary Chinese ancient dance history,aiming to explore the modern value of traditional Chinese dance aesthetics from the "Li Ji Yue Ji".The specific structure is as follows:The first part is titled "Analysis of the Basic Concepts of ‘Li Ji Yue Ji'".This article further explores the historical origin of "Yue","Wu" and "Li",and further explores its connotation in the "Li Ji Yue Ji".The second part is entitled "The Dance Aesthetic Thought of ‘Li Ji Yue Ji'”.After the exegesis,textual research and content refinement of the original text,we finally get ten dance aesthetic thoughts including the composition view,reflection theory,political view,ethics view,education view,heaven and earth view,form view,development view,aesthetic view and emotion view.The third part is titled "Contemporary Enlightenment of Dance Aesthetics Thoughts from ‘Li Ji Yue Ji'".This paper further connects the ten dance aesthetic thoughts that have been refined to five fields: contemporary aesthetic research,contemporary Confucian value judgment,contemporary dance education development,contemporary Chinese classical dance construction,and contemporary Chinese ancient dance history,aiming to find its value and significance in contemporary cultural construction.
