Traditional Chinese woodcut prints have been developed for at least a thousand years,and its modeling language has more or less influenced the creation of modern and contemporary prints.Woodcut New Year pictures,portraits of stone bricks,paper-cuts,bronze ware,grotto murals,etc.These decorative modeling elements are derived from the five thousand years of historical and cultural accumulation of the Chinese nation,and are extremely attractive and re-creating value.While woodcut printing continued to develop from the Tang to the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the development of the Song Dynasty reached an important turning point.The state's loose management of the people's religious beliefs and the improvement of the handicraft level led to the rapid development of woodcut illustrations and greater development in typographic design.From the perspective of exploring decorative patterns,we will further analyze the norms of formal beauty contained in woodcut prints and the cultural implication in them,and analyze its influence on woodcut art from the perspectives of religions and social classes in different periods.Ming and Qing scholars love it Both the woodcut form and the popular woodblock New Year pictures show their unique charms.In the process of research,it was found that the pattern elements in woodcut prints changed with the changes of decoration in different periods of cultural background.Since the Tang Dynasty,the exotic customs,which has been heavily influenced by Buddhism,have turned to secular and localized.Continuously absorb nutrients from the knowledge of traditional woodcut prints,and tap more value of traditional woodcut prints.Reading related papers,discussing the horizontal and vertical analysis and comparison of the sources and development of traditional Chinese woodcuts,explored how to use woodcuts as a unique creative form to convey the styles and thoughts and emotions of different creators in different periods.Collect literature materials,collect and consult textual materials related to this topic,including books,papers and other information.Collect data on various art forms of traditional decorative pattern art,and analyze its decorative language characteristics in basic aspects such as modeling and composition.The research is assisted by practical creation.After carefully sorting out these decorative visual elements,it is combined with the practice of printmaking to carry out creative experiments.
