Datong has been a contended place for war since ancient times.Its special geographical position has made it go through many ups and downs in history.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the Datong Mansion was invaded by the Mongols for a long time.During the war,the people were displaced.During peace,the Datong Mansion presented a relatively prosperous scene.In the twenty-fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty,Zhu Yuanzhang appointed his twelfth son Zhu Gui to defend Datong Mansion.Along with this came the culture of rites and music in the Ming Dynasty.The custom culture of Datong Mansion in the Ming and Qing Dynasties is relatively prosperous,and the records about it are also relatively rich.In this paper,from the aspects of the Confucian Temple,Guandi Temple,military ceremony and the ritual and custom usage of music in the Datong Mansion in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the author interprets and compares the ritual and custom usage of music in the Datong Mansion as well as the dynastic laws and regulations in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,so as to grasp its overall picture.
