Listening occupies an irreplaceable position for learning a second language.However,the proficiency of this process and the understanding of information are affected by many factors.Because of this,English listening has become a difficult part of learning for middle school students,and it is also a tricky part for teachers to teach.In the past school education system,in order to strengthen the students’ English listening ability,it was a common practice to improve the students’ English listening level through repeated exercises such as listening dialogues,but the final results are not satisfying and dampen the students’ enthusiasm for learning English listening,which makes students and teachers feel Time-consuming and inefficient.Under the background of the current educational environment,comprehensive improvement of learning ability constitutes an important condition for the development of core English literacy.The innovation and reform of education and teaching mode is very important for improving students’ learning ability,and it also highlights the importance of implementing core literacy training.The main research direction of this thesis is to inspire students through certain listening strategy teaching and training to guide students to better improve their English listening ability and also prove their effectiveness in practical application through the research and application of listening strategies.Combining the relevant theories of listening strategies and the author’s teaching practice in Zunyi Aerospace Senior Middle School,with high school students as the research object,through interviews,questionnaires,and tests in action research,the author intends to solve two major research problems:What is the effect of listening strategy training in high school teaching on the awareness of listening strategy?What is the effect of listening strategy training in high school teaching in improving students’ English performance?The listening strategy training model studied in this thesis is based on the results of previous studies.It is mainly based on the related research of Ren Qingmei,Wen Qiufang and other scholars.It is guided by the "six-step listening strategy training model" and combined with the author’s actual teaching experience to explore the effects of listening strategy training.There are three stages,including: 1.Preliminary preparation stage: Make sure the main difficulties of students in listening comprehension and the strategies to be trained;2.Core practice stage: put the strategy training plan into practice;3.Evaluation and revision stage: evaluate strategy Training effects and modify strategy training methods.After the experiment,the following conclusions will be drawn through the analysis of experimental data and interviews with students:Listening strategy training can help high school students improve their awareness of listening strategies.Listening strategy training can effectively improve middle school students’ listening comprehension performance.This research provides some examples and suggestions for high school English listening strategy training for frontline teachers.Through the study of this listening strategy training model,it is determined that this method can have a positive influence and effect on the learning of listening for high school students.Significantly improve high school students’ awareness of listening strategies,improve their confidence in listening comprehension and improve their listening comprehension performance.In addition,teachers are also aware of the importance of listening strategies in the process of inquiry,so they will attach great importance to the guidance of learning strategies in the process of English teaching to improve the core competence of students in English subjects.
