On The Style Characteristics And Performance Design Of The Schumann Cycle

Robert Schumann is a musician born in the 19 th century when Romanticism prevailed.His musical achievements have been highly recognized in history.Humoreske is a sign of Schumann's maturity in his creation.Since many researchers in the study of Humoreske seldom connect the work with Schumann's other music works,this article starts from the perspectives of Schumann's Humoreske,including the style,language,and format analysis,combined with Schumann's other suites,and briefly describes the features of Schumann's suites in terms of title,timbre,harmony,musical form,and rhythm.Based on these characteristics,this article expounds the various abilities and performance techniques that should be possessed when performing.Through the writing of this paper,the author hopes to have a more comprehensive understanding of Schumann's piano suites and get some inspiration on performance.
