Preference refers to the preference that people make when they are choosing an outcome or event.People are faced with a variety of choices every day,and the process and results of choices indicate people's preferences. The more stable the preference is,the more firmly people will choose something.Positive preference will be beneficial to people's study and life. But people's preferences can be influenced to some extent by others. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of manipulation and interpretation on preference in the selective blind paradigm.Experiment 1 was to explore the influence of manipulation on preference in the selective blind paradigm.Thirty-two college students were randomly selected and a single-factor in-subject experiment design was adopted. The independent variable was manipulation mode, which was divided into two levels of manipulation and non-manipulation,the dependent variable was preference change, and the measurement index was selection consistency and rating difference. The results showed that the rating difference of the control group was higher than that of the non-control group. In the control group, the preference degree of the subjects to the preferred picture decreased, and the preference degree of the subjects to the non-preferred picture increased. There is no selective diffusion effect. There was no significant difference in consistency between the control group and the non-control group. It shows that manipulation can affect preference change in the blind selection paradigm.Experiment 2 is to explore the effect of choice blindness paradigm to explain the preferences of the participants,63 college students were randomly selected using 2(manipulation methods:manipulation, the manipulation)x 2(explain conditions: have explained,no explanation)of mixed experimental design, the control method for variable in subjects, explain conditions for variable between subjects, the dependent variable with experiment 1.The results showed that the interaction between manipulation mode and interpretation condition was significant in the rating difference. In the control group, the preference rating difference of the control group with explanation was larger than that of the control group without explanation. In the non-manipulative condition, the non-manipulative and non-interpretive group had a smaller preference rating difference than the non-manipulative and interpretive group. In terms of selection consistency, the main effect of explanatory condition is significant, which indicates that in the blind selection paradigm, interpretation can cause the change of people's preferences, and the influence of interpretation on the change of preferences is more significant than that of manipulation.Experiment 3 explored the effect of explanatory time on preference in the selective blind paradigm.93 college students were randomly selected to adopt a mixed experimental design of 2(manipulation mode: manipulation,non-manipulation)×3(interpretation time: 10 seconds,20 seconds,30 seconds),in which the manipulation mode was the intra-subject variables, the explanation time was the inter-subject variable, and the dependent variable was the same as Experiment 1.The results showed that the interaction between manipulation style and interpretation time was significant. In the control group, the rating difference of 10 seconds was significantly lower than that of 20 seconds. The margin of rating difference of 10 seconds was significantly lower than 30 seconds; There was no difference in the rating difference between 20 and 30 seconds. In the non-manipulation group. There was no difference between 10 seconds,20 seconds,or 30 seconds. It shows that the interpretation time has an effect on the preference change, and the interpretation time of 10 seconds and 20 seconds is the qualitative change period of the effect on the preference change. In conclusion,in the selective blind paradigm, there is no selection diffusion effect in preference studies as in previous studies. Both manipulation and interpretation interpretation interpretation have an effect on preference, and interpretation has a greater effect on preference than manipulation. The interval between 10 and 20 seconds of explanation time is the period of qualitative change in preference.
