A Study Of Musical Structure Terminology In Yuefu Poetry

Yuefu poetry is a performance art integrating poetry,music and dance.Music and dance performances play a leading role in the art of Yuefu poetry.The language of the works is subordinate to the performance of music and dance.Yuefu poetry have a unique musical structure,which mainly contains seven contents such as "Jie","Jie QU","Qu","Yan","Luan","Song Sound" and "He Sound".For a long time,academia has done a lot of research on these musical structure terms,but there are divergent opinions,and further research is still needed.The article is divided into four parts.The first part studies "Interpretation" and "Interpretation"."Jie" originally means "decomposition",and it has the meaning and function of decomposing chapters no later than "Yi Zhou Shu"."Jie" originally means "decomposition",and it has the meaning and function of decomposing chapters no later than "Yi Zhou Shu",which can be understood as "chapter"."Jie qu" was introduced to the Central Plains during the Southern and Northern Dynasties.It has the characteristics of warm emotion and shorter repertoire."Jie" and "Jie qu" are not the same thing."Jie" is the structural framework for artists to transform the original words into music lyrics."Jie" has the nature of a formula;"Jiequ" and the music as a whole constitute an "asymmetrical contrasting musical structure"."Jie Qu" in the Confucian ethics is in line with "emotion" but not "ritual" and conforms with the concept of Yongming’s theory of sound.On the one hand,it proves that Yongming’s theory of sound is beneficial to poems and music,and on the other hand,it also reveals the reason for the popularity of "Jie qu" in Sui and Tang Dynasties.The second part studies "Yan"."Yan" was originally a synonym for Chu music,and its original meaning was "good and long".The main tune of "Chu Yan" is "Zhi",with a higher pitch,and then gradually developed into "erotic songs" and "erotic poems" along the two aspects of music and literature."Yan" developed from the original Chu Ge into the musical structure "Yan" as the "Overture" in Han Wei Daqu.The important reason for this is not only the personal preference of the ruler and the music and performance characteristics of Chu Ge itself,but alsobe that "Yan" inherited the "Xing" of the Six Meanings of the "Book of Songs" and played a role in music.The musical structure "Yan" and the independent work "Yan Ge" co-exist in "Yuefu Poetry Collection",which vividly illustrates the interactive relationship between the two,which can be described as "Chu Yan→Yan A(continuous accumulation)→Yan Ge XX Line(from another Yan B)→ Yan B(continuously accumulating)→ Yan Ge XX line(from another Yan C)......".The third part studies "Luan" and "Qu".Chaos" has appeared in the pre-Qin literature,and its original meaning is "bindwire".It is found in Tsinghua Bamboo Slips"Zhou Gong zhiqin dance" that the character "(?) " composed of "(?)" and "(?)"should be the original character of the musical structure "Luan",which can be understood as "Chorus to restrain the music"."Luan" is closely related to Chu music,and has a relatively fixed text recording method "Luan Yue";the original meaning of"Qu" is "walking",which first appeared in Han Wei Daqu as a musical structure,and its musical characteristics were roughly conceived in the pre-Qin period."Qu" has the effect of making music from slow to faster;"Luan" rarely appears in the Han Wei Yuefu poems.The use of "Qu" instead of "Luan" in Daqu may have something to do with the recording method of "Luan" which is not conducive to "Choose poetry to match music",and is not conducive to the"Create lyrics based on music".The fourth part studies "Song Sound " and "He Sound".On the basis of sorting out and discriminating the text records of Song He Sound in "Xi Qu Ge",it can be known that Song He Sound has an important relationship with the rhetoric and title;Song He Sound is the basis for later generations to "create lyrics based on music.Therefore,"creating lyrics based on music" does not necessarily exist only in the initial stage of creation;combined with the characteristics of the sentence structure,the known Song He Sound in "Xi Qu Ge" can be restored in the form of text.
