Geometry-based Digital Design Research

Geometry is the basic method of describing the real world,while art is the creative representation of the real world.The innovation of human art is closely related to the change of geometric concepts.As different cultural representations,they interweave and echo with each other.Just as Euclidean geometry was applied to ancient Greek art,projective geometry to Renaissance,non Euclidean geometry to modernism,topological geometry to postmodernism,the development of art is carried out in the close cooperation of geometry,From the perspective of the history of art development,it seems that behind the mainstream art of each era there is a deep mathematical support geometry.Based on the development of geometry,this paper re examines the history of Western art from a scientific perspective.This paper selects the four most representative prosperous periods(ancient Greece,Renaissance,modern and post-modern)in the history of Western art and design as the object,studies and analyzes the role of geometry in several major artistic changes,excavates the close relationship between art and design innovation and geometric breakthrough,and probes into European geometry,projective geometry,geometry,geometry,geometry,and so on Non Euclidean geometry and other new geometric theories play a leading role in the art trend.Fractal geometry,the youngest geometry,was put forward in 1978,which created a nonlinear era.Geometry has a far-reaching influence on the development of human civilization.In less than 50 years after fractal geometry was put forward,this force from the new geometry theory has quietly penetrated into all aspects of people's life,and also has a profound impact on contemporary art design technology,thinking and aesthetics.This paper discusses the impact of nonlinear design method based on fractal geometry on contemporary digital design from three aspects of technology,thinking and aesthetics,and makes a bold prediction of the development trend of digital design.The answer to art problems may not be in the field of art.In the 20 th century,the electronic computer swept the world,and the advent of the digital era has brought about a subversive change in artistic activities.The geometric theory accumulated by human beings over the past thousand years has been rapidly combined with computer technology.From classical geometry to modern geometry,each has its own magic power.The underlying framework of graphics has been built in the computer.Computer graphics has emerged,and digital design has been realized.The creative way of art design has changed from manual modeling to digital tools.Geometry provides strong technical support for art design once again.
