Zheng Yuanjie began writing children's growth from the beginning of his fairy tales creation.With the advancement of his creating,he began to appreciate the nice qualities in children's character and to believe in children's ability to grow on their own.He is sympathetic to the pressures that children faced in an adult-dominated society.With the help of ‘Fantasy Elements' in the fairy tales,children become more independent and powerful,and can fully feel the freedom and happiness of childhood.However,‘Fantasy Elements' can also make the ecological problems in the environment more significant.Faced with such an environment,individuals need to pay more attention to maintaining their own spiritual independence and strength,and to express respect and love for the outside world.In this way,one can pursue a harmonious development with the environment of the state of growth.In the introduction,this dissertation sorts out the current situation of related research: the research on the formation and development of the creation,the theme of the writer's work,the writer's view of children,children characters,fantasy power and fantasy characters,and the cultural elements.These research are summarized as a reference.By means of careful reading and inductive arrangement,the main research ideas of the three chapters are formed.This dissertation focuses on the development of the children's character and the external environment in Zheng Yuanjie's fairy tales,in the vertical order of the writer's creative progress and the development of his works,this dissertation is divided into three chapters,according to children's growth,the game spirit and the ecological consciousness.Each chapter is divided into three sections according to ‘Power',‘Life' and ‘Smallness'.The three themes all point to the affirmation and call for the ideal quality of childhood.Chapter ?: Children's growth is the theme of the first formation of the fairy tales.The author initially describes the growth of children under external education,with the progress of creation,he realized that children's inner power is the real growth momentum.Beacause of sympathy and appreciation,he created the ideal images of children seeking freedom and full of love.They are ‘Naughty Children' as well as ‘Good Children',full of life spirit.However,these small children in the adult-dominated family and school environment are easy to encounter a variety of growth pressures,in a weak position.Chapter ?: The Game Spirit is the most representative theme in the fairy tales.The author makes full use of the three representative ‘Fantasy Elements' : treasures,personification characters and small characters.Treasures respond to the children's pursuit of power and magnify the beauty of children's hearts.Personification characters echoes children's ‘Animism' thought,endows all things with life and human consciousness,and communicates with children.A small character is an affirmation of the ‘Smallness' of a child.These ‘Fantasy Elements' make children stronger,able to affirm their independence and freedom,and dedicate their love to the world.Chapter ?: The ecological consciousness is the important theme which the fairy tales emphasized.Modern people's excessive pursuit of the power of things outside the body not only causes ecological problems,but also leads to the shrinking of their own life power.Facing the pressure of modern society and life,people need to strengthen their love and care for their own life,the others' life and the world full of life.Human beings are the little children of nature.It is necessary for modern people to control their desires,enrich their spirits,care for the weak life.People need to show their good qualities of childhood on a higher level,and never forget the original intention of children's innocence.In the epilogue,I summarized the characteristics of the themes in Zheng Yuanjie's fairy tales,and briefly analyzed the value and limitation in the works as an enlightenment.
