As a unique writing community in the history of contemporary literature, educated youth writers have moved to the countryside in the cultural barren environment and spent their youth. The similarity of life experience and the identity of educated youth make their psychology and thought similar, and rise rapidly in the new era, forming an important writing group of literature in the new era.It is the youth experience of wandering between the city and the countryside that makes them form the identity of "outsiders".In the new era, they actively echo with the main trend of literature, constantly re search their own history, and persistently seek their spiritual homeland, all of which originate from the psychological basis of the generation of "outsiders" identity. The image of "outsider" constantly reappears in their literary world, implying the self projection of educated youth writers, which has become a way for educated youth writers to cross examine history and self. The urban and rural experience of educated youth writers has also become an important resource of their literary writing in the new period, which continues the pedigree of the "outsiders" image of literature for a hundred years, and jointly shows the modern discourse appeal of modern literature. Therefore, starting from the literary context of the new period, this paper analyzes the "outsider" narrative of the educated youth literature, and from the perspective of narratology, explores the narrative function and aesthetic effect of the "outsider" narrative in the educated youth literature,so as to activate a new research perspective in the study of the educated youth literature. The first chapter mainly studies the deep strategy of "outsiders" narrative in educated youth literature. The literature of educated youth in the new period presents dynamic changes in the interaction with scar and reflective literature, which profoundly records the conflict and interaction in the process of urban and rural modernization since the new period. This chapter focuses on the narrative strategies of "outsiders" stories in the educated youth literature in the new period from three aspects: the extensibility of narrative structure, the choice of narrator and the complexity of narrative voice. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the evolution and deepening of the theme of educated youth literature in the era of special discourse, and through the meaningful choice of narrator and narrative perspective of educated youth literature in the new era,to see through the hidden internal "viewpoint" and subject consciousness,so as to provide a new explanation for the debate of "discourse power" in the study of educated youth literature. The second chapter mainly explores the internal motivation of "outsiders" narrative in educated youth literature. This chapter mainly reveals the internal and external reasons of the "outsider" narrative pattern of the educated youth writers in the new period through their unique "outsider" identity, common "Hometown" complex and the influence of their participation in the practice of modern discourse in the new period on their literary creation. This paper focuses on the characteristics of educated youth literature which is different from other writing communities in the new era,and reveals how its urban and rural symbolic meaning and image code enter into China's city oriented modern discourse mechanism, and provides resources for the construction of modern discourse. The third chapter mainly analyzes the aesthetic function of "outsiders" narrative in educated youth literature. The existing studies on the stories of "outsiders" generally ignore their significance in narratology. This chapter focuses on the narrative function and aesthetic effect of "outsider" narrative in educated youth literature from three aspects:creation conflict and narrative tension, political metonymy and gender metaphor, distance aesthetics and empathy effect,so as to explore the important value of "outsider" narrative in the text generation of educated youth writers, and generate a new perspective of "outsider" narrative research.
