Doctor-patient relationship is the process which doctors and patients can corporate and influence with each other. It is a kind of interpersonal relationship.Interpersonal trust,as an important factor in establishing a harmonious interpersonal relationship, has a significant impact on patient satisfaction.Model of dual attitudes consider the individual's attitude to be in a separate state, and different studies have not formed a consistent conclusion about whether the patient's attitude toward the doctor is separated. And there was no systematic study of the psychological mechanisms between patient trust, patient attitude and doctor-patient relationship. Therefore, this study attempts to explore the relationship among the three variables and the mediating effect of patient attitudes(explicit attitudes, implicit attitudes)on patient trust and doctor-patient relationship.Interview method has been used to explore the factors affecting the doctor-patient relationship and offer a proposal to improve the doctor-patient relationship. The study is divided into two parts. The first part is the investigation, using the Chinese version of Wake Forest Physician Trust Scale(WFPTS),A measurement tool for patients perceiving service attitude quality, the Chinese Edition of Doctor-Patient Relationship Scale(PDRQ-15)and SC-IAT to test 200 patients to investigate current status of patient trust, patient attitudes(explicit attitudes, implicit attitudes)and doctor-patient relationship, then further explore the mediating effect of patient attitudes(explicit attitudes, implicit attitudes)on patient trust and doctor-patient relationship, the results as follows:1.The scores on patient trust, patient explicit attitude and doctor-patient relationship of inpatient are higher than outpatient.2.The scores on patient explicit attitude and doctor-patient relationship of older patient(>30 years old)are higher than younger patient(<30 years old).3.Patients with low academic qualifications have higher score on patient trust, patient explicit attitude and doctor-patient relationship than those with high academic qualifications.4.There was no significant correlation between patient's explicit attitude and patient's implicit attitude, indicating that the patient's explicit attitude and patient's implicit attitude are separate and independent structures.5.Patient trust, patient attitudes(explicit attitudes, implicit attitudes)and doctor-patient relationship related to each other significantly. The patient's explicit attitude had mediating effect on patient trust and doctor-patient relationship. The second part is an interview study.Through interviews with 20 patients, the factors affecting the relationship between doctors and patients and the countermeasures for improving the relationship between doctors and patients are examined. The main conclusions are:1.In addition to the patient trust and patient explicit attitude affecting the doctor-patient relationship,doctor-patient communication, media communication, and differences in doctor-patient expectations will also affect the doctor-patient relationship.2.The current doctor-patient relationship can be improved by improving communication between doctors and patients, improving trust between doctors and patients, and narrowing expect differences between doctors and patients.
