Louis Bourgeois(1911-2010)was an American-French visual artist and is considered to be one of the greatest artists to have lived during the 20th and 21st centuries. Her works give people a strong sense of emotional communication and power directly referring to humanity. The personal emotions in her works are closely related to her father and her early life experiences.Bourgeois' father's failure in his career and betrayal of their family were both sources of serious psychological trauma for her. After years of backlog and precipitation,Bourgeois, through a lifetime of creating artwork, gradually and deeply embraced self-analysis and self-healing which finally got rid of the shadow of trauma in her later years of life.Starting from the early years of Louis Bourgeois, this paper analyzes the works of various periods of Bourgeois, and divides the changes of her psychological world into five stages:the early experience, the early vent, transformation, revenge and relief, simultaneously discussing the corresponding life experience and artistic creation in each stage. The influence of psychological trauma and emotional changes on creation was analyzed in throughout this reseaech in order to find the root of its inner power in creation.
