Research On Hong Lei's Art Works

Lv Peng wrote in "Art History: 40x40: China's contemporary art after 40 years of reform and opening up seen from 40 artists" in November 2018: Hong Lei is one of the best in China's contemporary art history.No matter in photography,painting or even novels,he has his own distinctive characteristics." The formation,establishment and development of Honglei's artistic language is the product of the combination of personal experience and social development,and it has distinct characteristics of personality and times.The introduction of this paper is divided into four parts: the purpose and significance of this study,the research status at home and abroad,research ideas and methods and innovation.The main body is divided into five chapters with Hong Lei's timeline as the main line.The first chapter is divided into two sections according to Hong Lei's personal relationship with the times,namely,outside and inside of the times vortex.The author conducts a comprehensive study from three aspects of social background,living environment and personal experience,and introduces his childhood,adolescence and early adulthood growth process.These three factors are all Hong Lei The formation of Lei's artistic language has laid the groundwork.The second chapter introduces Hong Lei's efforts to pursue his artistic ideal: his high spirits in Nanjing Art College;his precipitation and exploration in the Department of fine arts of Changzhou Normal University;his further education in art in Beijing and other places is more firm and ideal,but he also realizes his own shortcomings.Chapter three to chapter five take typical works of each period as an example to analyze Hong Lei's stage artistic language characteristics.The third chapter divides 1996-2000 into one stage,the main artistic language of this period is "subversion and acupuncture",taking "China box" as an example to introduce Hong Lei's successful breakthrough in art and the establishment of his own artistic language;taking "Chinese landscape · Suzhou Humble Administrator's garden" as the main research object,it analyzes Hong Lei's expression of Chinese garden's situation in contemporary society through "theater photography" The thinking of encounter and existence.The fourth chapter is divided into two parts: 2000-2007,in which Hong Lei's creation is at the peak of his whole artistic career.During this period,the artistic creation path presented two opposite directions: Taking "I dreamed that I was killed by my father while traveling in the garden" and "six persimmons" as the main research objects,according to the content of photography,it was divided into the Southern Song Dynasty world through the memory and feelings of dreams,and its artistic language features were theater photography full of mysticism and freehand photography eager for the pure world,Meanwhile,Hong Lei's creation is not limited to photography,installation,embroidery,image and so on.The fifth chapter,after 2008,the art language is mainly "double Britain and Vietnam",focusing on the "zhengdaguang" and "the maze" as examples for research and analysis.This paper combs the works of contemporary artist Hong Lei,and studies his artistic language and style characteristics,which is original in theory;Hong Lei is an inevitable one in the history of Chinese contemporary art,therefore,the study of his artistic language has distinct reality for the history of Chinese contemporary art.
