This article is a topic I found in reading Eric S.Raymond's Cathedral and bazaar,Umberto Eco's open works and watching some contemporary art exhibitions. The art theory of modern and contemporary art from Marcel Duchamp's "urinal"--the pluralistic and open concept art movement caused by the "free consciousness" of human beings in the art field, and Richard Matthew in the computer field The pluralism, freedom, participation and interaction of "open source" theory proposed by Stallman coincide. So what kind of influence does the appearance of "open source" have in the field of modern and contemporary art? What happened? How do artists create in this situation? The research of these problems is the purpose and significance of my topic. In the study of the open phenomenon of "open source" in modern and contemporary art, such as fuzziness, metaphor and change,it is found that modern and contemporary art not only wakes up people's consciousness and life form again and again, but also overturns and criticizes the metaphor of society and art itself, and raises Art to the real metaphysics and the change and infinity of art. Then it analyzes the influence of the change of human consciousness on the artist's subjective psychological demands from these studies.Through the analysis of the mutual transformation of human consciousness activities, such as feeling, imagination and subconscious,we can understand the internal causes of the formation of artist's works' concept. It is found that the greatest difference between contemporary art and the past is the freedom of consciousness-unknowability,so as to explore the new theory of "open source" in the field of contemporary art.
