Abstract/Summary:
In the 1970s and 1980s,the development of Chinese pianos entered a completely new period.During this period, many outstanding Chinese composers emerged. They combined Western creative techniques with the unique ethnic culture of the East, and gradually formed their own creations.Style, and laid a solid foundation for the vigorous development of Chinese piano.Among these composers,Cui Shiguang is an important figure with outstanding contributions and influences, not only composer, but also a well-known international piano player. He has created more than 50 works, including nearly 20 solo pieces, nearly 30 adapted pieces,1 double piano piece, and 2 piano concertos.Famous works include "Xi Yang Yang","Lantern Festival","Ode to Workers","On the Songhua River","Four Songs of Mountain Music","Three Imitation Songs of Liu Tianhua" and so on,among which "Mountain Spring" is a work created by Cui Shiguang in 1980 and is "Four Songs of Mountain Music"”,”Mountain Spring ","Mountain Flower "),the third one,is a fine work on the theme of water "in Chinese piano works. In his work "Mountain Spring",Cui Shiguang focuses on Western creative techniques, and uses the "water" culture in Chinese culture rationally and skillfully. When Cui Shiguang created "Mountain Spring",he applied Western Impressionism,a new musical style and creative technique,to his works with extremely keen insight. In terms of modulation, scales rarely used before, such as pentatonic scale and diatonic scale, are used.In the pentatonic scale, there are no 4th and 7th notes, and the mode has a certain degree of ambiguity;similarly,in the diatonic scale, each tone has a wholetone relationship, resulting in a weaker tendency to resolve the main tone.In harmony,a large number of uncommon chords are used to weaken the chord functionality and make the work more rich in harmony. In the melody, the theme motivation is only a few short measures, vaguely throughout the work.In the work "Mountain Spring",the theme motivation appears five times in the music, which is very similar to the creation of Impressionist music, avoiding the common methods of repetition, expansion and development in romantic music. In terms of music content,it is mainly based on the objective things in nature, among which "water" has become one of the compulsory content for composers. In ancient China,"water" was admired by Chinese thinkers and literati for a long time, and is also reflected in literary works. For example,"Zhuangzi"comes when autumn water comes,Baichuan irrigates the river,"Tang poem" "the water of the Yellow River rises from heaven",The rushing stream never returns "and so on.The author takes "Mountain Spring" as the research object.By analyzing the structure of the work and the practical application of the "water" element in the work,it provides a certain academic foundation for the performer. It is easier to resonate with the audience.
