This paper summarizes the importance of context construction in the process of drama creation by studying the creation content of the play "painted skin".The play "painted skin" is adapted from the story of the Qing Dynasty writer Pu Songling's "Strange Tales of Liaozhai".Over the years,"painted skin" has become an important IP.However,based on the original work,the object of this paper is to re interpret the story through breaking and remodeling,which not only breaks through the confinement of IP works,but also realizes the integration of the original work and adaptation.Situation construction is an important process of drama creation.Specific environment,special characters,complete a special stage task,these elements constitute the situation in a drama.And the audience is immersed in the dramatic works of art through the experience of these situations.Through the analysis of the works,we can find an effective way to construct the creation of context,so that more creators can follow in the creation process,which has reference significance.
