Research On The Pragmatic Function Of Barrage Language From The Perspective Of Intertextuality

With the wide access of Internet technology,cyber language has become one of the heated topics in linguistic research.Previous studies are mainly about the language use in e-mails and online news,and only a few are on the use of bullet subtitle language.The studies on bullet subtitle language from the perspective of intertextuality is even less common.Based on Kristiva's intertextuality theory,the research is conducted on the nature and function of bullet subtitle language of Marvel's short videos with a combined method of case analysis and qualitative study.The bullet subtitle language of short videos has the features of being independent,relevant and rich.And its intertextual strategies include citation,imitation and parody.In both horizontal and vertical dimensions,there are intertextual associations between the texts of video producers and the texts of bullet subtitles senders,among the texts of bullet subtitles senders,and between the texts of bullet subtitles and videos.The application of bullet subtitle language in short videos shows its effective entertainment function,politeness function,identification function and debate function,so it is very popular among netizens.This research enriches the intertextual theory with new corpus,deepens people's understanding of the nature,strategies and functions of bullet subtitle language,and promotes the standard use of the language.It is also promotes the construction of network language systems including the system of bullet subtitle language.
