Antilanguage In 24 Billy's From The Perspective Of System Functional Linguistics

With the development of society and the proposal of building a harmonious society,while paying attention to mainstream discourse,people also strengthen the attention to the discourse of marginalized people.It is discourse analysts`responsibility to focus on the fringe,the speech of the fringe,and speak for the fringe.The author combines Halliday's system functional grammar and Fairclough's three-dimensional analysis mode to build an analysis framework,which conducts marginal discourse analysis on the discourse with antisocial personality in the corpus of The Minds of Billy Milligan.First,the author uses Halliday's theory as an analysis tool to describe the language characteristics of the corpus from the aspects of Transitivity,Mood and Modality,aiming to explore the power relationship hidden behind the language.Personality uses discourse to manipulate other personalities and the outside world to achieve its own purpose.Secondly,this article reveals how functional grammar outlines complex and changeable personality traits of the personality through the material process,explains the rationality of personality contradiction through the psychological process,and reproduces the personality through the relationship process.The unbearable experience has reinterpreted the distribution of power within the personality through the modality,and reflected the personality's verbal manipulation of the outside world through the tone.Finally,from the social cultural background of the novel,the author summarizes how the personality split patients can build an image of marginal groups with the dual identity of "persecutor" and "victim" through anti-verbal language.This study attempts to make the marginalized people get more attention and help through the analysis.
