Intergenerational Health Information Avoidance Study

The new crown epidemic that has swept across the world at the beginning of 2020 has brought health issues to everyone's attention again.In the process of health dissemination,information avoidance has always been a hotspot in academic research,and scholars with different types of diseases have related researches for different groups.As an important unit of society,the importance of health communication within the family is self-evident,but the author found that the intergenerational health information avoidance within the family system is more obvious,so it is necessary to avoid the triggering factors of intergenerational health information Carry out analysis,and put forward targeted suggestions based on this to alleviate and compensate for inter-generational health information avoidance behavior.Based on this,this article selected 20 college students families,conducted one-on-one interviews with the elders and offspring of each family,and conducted open coding,main axis coding,and selective coding on the interview data through grounded theory.Finally,The trigger mechanism of inter-generational health information avoidance behavior is derived,which are information factors,psychological factors,personal preferences,and intergenerational conflicts.Among them,information factors are the main reason for inter-generational health information avoidance,including information authority,Information authenticity,information inducement,information overload,information presentation form,information threshold.The second is psychological factors,including stereotypes,negative emotions,health information self-efficacy,health risk perception,and inherent ideas.The third major influencing factor is personal preference,including information preference and behavioral inertia.In addition,intergenerational conflict is also an important reason for triggering intergenerational health information avoidance behavior.Based on the above analysis results,this article finally proposes strategies to alleviate and compensate for inter-generational health information avoidance.Children will patiently feed back with information and do a good job of spiritual support;parents actively change their concepts,intergenerational equal dialogue;media self-discipline,platform supervision,and concerted efforts Purify the healthy communication environment.It is hoped that through these suggestions,health information avoidance between generations can be improved.
