Research On The Origin Of Taoist Medicine And The Prevention And Control Of Plague In The Late Han, Wei And Jin Dynasties

Objective:The emergence and development of Taoist medicine has a specific social and cultural background.At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty,the social crisis was serious and the disease was prevalent.Taoist medicine was born under the thought of saving the world and treating diseases.In the Wei and Jin Dynasties,the clinical content was constantly enriched,especially in the aspect of acute infectious diseases.At the same time,the cultivation methods were constantly improved,which became an important stream of traditional medicine Pie.Because of the characteristic of inclusiveness,Taoism is the source of its medical content,whether it is ancient medicine,witch culture or immortal alchemist.The purpose of this study is to explore the origin,background and medical system of Taoist medicine in the late Han,Wei and Jin Dynasties,and summarize its contribution to disease prevention and control.Method:Using the literature research method to analyze the Taoist classics and personal works related to Taoist medicine in the late Han Dynasty,Wei and Jin Dynasties,and discusses the origin of Taoist medicine in this period.Content:This study takes the Han History,The History of Latter Han,the Taiping classic,The Handbook of Prescriptions for Emergencies,Baopuzi as the main objects.The research adopts the methods of history,culture and literature.Firstly,it discusses the social background of the emergence of Taoist medicine in the Eastern Han Dynasty and the development of the Wei and Jin Dynasties,combs the ideological origins,and then summarizes the experience of Taoist medicine prevention and control in this period.Conclusion:During the war in the late Han Dynasty,the Taoist order rose from the folk,relying on Fushui to cure diseases and preach,which had a strong witchcraft color in thought.In the Wei and Jin Dynasties,it became an official religion through the transformation of the fairy way and the gentry class.Taoist medicine inherits the immortal thought and Cultivation Techniques of the alchemist's medicine,and absorbs the practical experience of ancient medicine,such as acupuncture,moxibustion,Fangzhong,nine needles of Xingqi,Daoyin and Juqiao,Decoction and the remaining witchcraft taboos.It has formed a medical system based on traditional medicine with equal emphasis on treatment and health preservation.Taoist medicine distinguishes typhoid fever,fashion and pestilence,and emphasizes disease differentiation and syndrome medication.Taoist medicine has a clear understanding of many kinds of pestilence diseases,such as dysentery,malaria,lupus aureus,lupus sores,yin and Yang toxin,etc.it has put forward a series of treatment and prevention measures and established a disease prevention and control system.
