Objective:A cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure variability in young and middle-aged patients with essential hypertension by ShiChen-based cardiopulmonary coupling sleep monitoring. To observe the relationship between sleep quality at different ShiChen and blood pressure variability in young and middle-aged patients with essential hypertension. Methods:Patients over the age of 18 and 65 with essential hypertension from the International Department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital. The basic data of the patients, such as name, age, sex, height, weight, smoking history, drinking history, combined diseases and combined medication, were collected by questionnaire survey. The patients were monitored by ShiChen-based cardiopulmonary coupling sleep monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. The researchers calculated the sleep duration, the proportion of stable sleep duration, the proportion of unstable sleep duration, the ratio of wake/dream time, the CPC-related sleep apnea index and ShiChen-based sleep qualities(ZiShi,ChouShi,YinShi)and 24-h SBP SD,24-h DBP SD,day time SBP SD,day time DBP SD,night time SBP SD,night time DBP SD,24h SBP ARV and 24h DBP ARV.Use linear regression method to analyze the relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure variability. Then,Use Pearson linear correlation method to analyze the relationship between ShiChen-based sleep quality and blood pressure variability.Result:(1)General data:a total of 96 young and middle-aged patients with essential hypertension(79 males and 17 females),and 46 patients(28 males and 8 females)slept during ZiShi,ChouShi and YinShi.(2)Linear regression analysis showed that the sleep duration was negatively correlated with day-time SBP SD,day-time DBP SD,24h SBP ARV and 24h DBP ARV(P value<0.05);CPC-RDI and day-time SBP SD,day-time DBP SD,24 h SBP ARV and 24 h DBP ARV were positively correlated(P value<0.05),while wake/dream duration was negatively correlated with 24 h SBP ARV and 24 h DBP ARV(P value<0.05).There was no correlation between blood pressure variability and sleep quality.(P value? 0.05).Pearson linear correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between ShiChen-based sleep quality and blood pressure variability:there was a negative correlation between the ZiShi,ChouShi and YinShi stable sleep duration and 24 h SBP ARV and 24 h DBP ARV,The correlation coefficients were-0.102,-0.248,-0.229 and-0.284,-0.381,0.243.only ChouShi stable sleep duration was negatively correlated with 24 h DBP ARV(P value<0.05).ZiShi and ChouShi unstable sleep duration was negatively correlated with 24 h DBP ARV(P value<0.05).ZiShi,ChouShi and YinShi CPC-RDI were positively correlated with 24 h SBP ARV and 24 h DBP ARV.and the correlation coefficients were 0.229,0.398,0.274 and 0.327,0.457,0.308.Among them, only ChouShi CPC-RDI was positively correlated with 24h SBP ARV(P value<0.05),and the positive correlation between ZiShi,ChouShi and YinShi CPC-RDI and 24h DBP ARV was statistically significant(P value<0.05).Conclusion:(1)the sleep duration, the stable sleep duration, the non-stable sleep duration and CPC-RDI can affect the blood pressure variability of young and middle-aged patients with essential hypertension.(2)sleep quality mainly affected day-time blood pressure variability rather than nocturnal blood pressure variability.(3)the sleep quality of ChouShi sleep duration is most closely related to the blood pressure variability of young and middle-aged patients with essential hypertension.
