Effects Of Wood Vinegar On The Reproduction And Development Of Myzus Persicae

The study on the comprehensive(short-term,medium,long-term)effect of wood vinegar as foliar fertilizer on peach aphid population is a necessary part of the development of new biological pesticides.This experiment included four parts: the indoor toxicity test,the observation of the growth,development and reproduction of aphids reared alone,the observation of the development of aphid artificial population and the determination of anti-stress enzyme activity of aphids in each treatment.The results showed that:(1)The toxicity test showed that high concentration wood vinegar,that is,wood vinegar diluted 5 times and 10 times,has a higher toxic effect on Myzus persicae.The mortality rate of Myzus persicae at 72 hours is 35% and 19% respectively.Low concentration wood vinegar has a weak toxic effect,but each concentration shows a certain repellent effect on peach aphid.(2)Single head feeding experiments showed that wood vinegar diluted 100 times can inhibit the aphid production of Myzus persicae to a certain extent,but the inhibition weakens with the increase of generation,and the number of aphid production of the first and second generations of Myzus persicae gradually increases.,Myzus persicae showed adaptability to the host.(3)Wood vinegar has different inhibitory effects on Myzus persicae populations of different instars.The inhibitory effect appears after three weeks of application,and the control effect reaches50% after 30 days of observation,which has a significant effect on controlling the number of adult aphids.(4)The determination of four kinds of enzyme activity showed that only GST changed significantly,which was 83% lower than that of the control.Generally speaking:(1)as a natural biomass,wood vinegar has low toxicity and has no obvious short-term acute toxic effect on peach aphid,and(2)it has obvious inhibition effect on peach aphid population in the medium term,which may reduce the risk of spread of peach aphid.(3)it may have some effect on the recovery of insecticide sensitivity of surviving individuals of peach aphid,which is an ideal choice to replace chemical pesticides or matching use,and has good development and utilization perspective.
