Electric power has been playing a leading role in national economy in China's economic development.It is an important project which is related to the national economy and people's livelihood.Full-caliber power generation of the whole country,the whole society's electricity consumption and installed capacity have increased by an average of 6.8 percent,6.7 percent and 10.73 percent,respectively.There are many modes of electric power generation in China.The thermal power has always played a dominated role in the supply of electricity.Nevertheless,thermal power generation has been criticized for a long time due to the consumption of non-renewable energy and the environmental pollution caused by harmful gases emitted from combustion.President Xi Jinping promised that China would strive to peak its carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060 at the 75 th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2020.It can be predicted that thermal power generation will have to be faced with great challenges.At the same time,in the context of supply-side reform and overcapacity reduction,coal output has declined while coal resources are still regarded as the main energy in the current stage of development,so coal prices remain high.In the cost of thermal power generation,fuel cost accounts for a large proportion of the cost.The high coal price brings a serious pressure to thermal power enterprises.This paper takes Inner Mongolia F Power Generation Co.,LTD.,as the research object.According to the PEST analysis framework and Porter's Five Forces analysis model,it analyzes the external environment of F power generation company,and comes to the conclusion that f power generation company is facing a good opportunity that the social-economic trend will not change in the long term,the thermal power supply will still be the main supply role in the power market in the short term,and there is still a power supply gap in Ulanqab area,At the same time,it is also facing the threat of increasing difficulty in maintaining and controlling the price of fuel,increasing competition in the power market and increasing threat of alternative energy;This paper analyzes the internal environment of F power generation company from two aspects of resources and capacity,and comes to the conclusion that f power generation company has advantages in business scope,brand advantages of central enterprises,professionalism of personnel,and disadvantages in employee age and skill level,capital turnover pressure and unit energy consumption reduction space.Using SWOT matrix analysis,it is concluded that F power generation company should adopt the development strategy of defensive strategy and the competitive strategy of cost leadership.We should increase the supply of power and heat and promote the production and operation of new energy power as key business.We have formulated strategic guarantee measures from six aspects: optimizing organizational structure,improving development quality,strengthening human resource management,improving marketing management ability,strengthening cost control and expanding new business and new market.Therefore,how to achieve low-carbon development at high cost has become an urgent problem for thermal power enterprises.It is in line with the development and operation status of F power generation company through this study,hoping to help F power generation company develop its strengths and avoid weaknesses,improve development quality and improve market competitiveness in the exploration and practice of turning losses,reducing losses and controlling losses,which also has a certain reference significance for the survival and development of similar enterprises in the current market competition environment.
