With the rapid development of China's power industry,the voltage grade and transmission capacity of China's transmission lines are getting higher and higher,Meanwhile,the structure of transmission lines is becoming more and more complex,The traditional overhead transmission lines have evolved into a hybrid transmission system containing underground transmission cables,overhead transmission lines and multi-branch structures;the stability of the transmission system directly affects the life,work and study of modern human beings,therefore,the safe and stable operation of diversified transmission lines is becoming more and more important.When a transmission line fails and trips,it is very important to troubleshoot the fault and recovery power supply quickly by efficient means;traditional impedance method of fault location only applies to the single transmission scenario,when the structure of transmission line is relatively complex,impedance method of fault location is often difficult to provide accurate fault location for transmission line workers,it has greatly affected the efficiency of troubleshooting,and brought great troubles to residents,important users,industrial production and other users,what is more,it will cause accidents and events with certain social impact.Therefore,from the perspective of traveling wave fault location method,the application of double-terminal deviation traveling wave head algorithm in hybrid transmission line fault detection is launched in this artical.This article first introduces the principle of traveling wave fault location and the refraction and reflection principle of traveling wave in hybrid transmission line,and discusses the main factors affecting fault location by traveling wave method,secondly,proposes an algorithm for solving traveling wave head based on double-terminal deviation method,on the basis of solving traveling wave head by wavelet transform and Hilbert-Huang transform,by analyzing the samples collected by some sensors;and builds the hybrid transmission line model to simulate the performance of traveling wave fault location for different types of fault under different fault distance,transition resistance and fault initial phase angle,a large number of simulation data show that double-terminal deviation traveling wave fault location has high feasibility,accuracy and stability in traveling wave fault location,it is of great significance for practical engineering application.
