A Study On The Evolution Of Urban Public Space Form In Jinan In Modern Times

In modern times,under the background of internal and external difficulties,the ancient Chinese cities began the process of modernization transformation.New and old life styles and space forms changed,and new space paradigms emerged.In view of the fact that the development of modern cities cannot be separated from history,especially from modern times,the transformation of Chinese cities at that time has always been a hot topic in today’s social research.As an important part of urban space,urban public space is the material space carrier of urban activities.It is a powerful witness of modern urban modernization transformation,and can become an important perspective for us to analyze modern urban changes.This urges us to take the public space of a specific city under the special background of the times as a case to explore the historical evolution of its morphological characteristics,and hope to take this opportunity to create possibilities for the next step of urban public space research and practice.Jinan,as the central city of Shandong Province,on the one hand,as a typical representative of many feudal prefectures in ancient China,the analysis of its transformation has more universal value;On the other hand,the unique features of the city and the special historical process of opening commercial ports have different theoretical significance from the general city research.We can not only sum up the evolution direction of public space in the period of transition from the feudal ruling central city(traditional Fu City)to the modern open city,but also see that in the turbulent social environment,Chinese people learn from the advanced experience of the west,actively explore the exploration of urban space construction,and the process of integration and game between Chinese and Western cultures,which is an important case of modern urban research.Firstly,based on the review of the existing studies,this paper aims to understand the previous scholars’ interpretation of urban public space and clarify the evolution of the concept of "urban public space" in the process of historical development,so as to complete the analysis of traditional urban public space,modern urban public space and modern urban public space,So as to better understand the concept and scope of the research object.On this basis,by combing the social background of modern times,this paper summarizes the multiple influencing factors of modern Jinan urban public space,including the diachronic universal factors and the special factors of modern times,so as to better grasp the diachronic process of the modernization transformation of urban public space,so as to complete the construction of the research framework of modern Jinan urban public space,It lays a theoretical foundation for the follow-up specific research work.In view of the spatial evolution mode at the macro level,this paper discusses in detail the continuation of traditional urban public space,the modernization transformation of traditional urban public space and the emergence of new urban public space.After the completion of the research on specific space cases,this paper summarizes the evolution characteristics of modern Jinan urban public space form,mainly including the modern transformation of Jinan urban public space in the surface material level,as well as the relationship between the internal attributes and the overall urban environment,and draws the final research conclusion.This paper hopes to draw on the systematic research of modern Jinan urban public space(including morphological analysis,type carding,framework construction,internal deep meaning discussion,etc.)to lay a foundation for future in-depth research in related fields.And for the specific space practice to provide theoretical suggestions,to better solve practical problems to make their own contribution.
