In the process of flight,it is very important for flight safety to maintain the correct spatial orientation.Sometimes,it depends heavily on the attitude direction indicator to maintain the correct spatial orientation,especially when the weather conditions are not good and unusual flight attitude occurs.In case of unusual flight attitude,it is necessary to perform leveling operation to restore the aircraft to the level flight state.If the aircraft can not be restored immediately,the aircraft may enter a dangerous flight state and threaten the safety of the route.In this process,the attitude direction indicator is an important reference for the pilot to clarify his own state.There are two reference formats for the attitude direction indicator.The mobile aircraft format is that the artificial horizon on the attitude direction indicator is fixed,and the aircraft symbol changes with the control input,while the mobile horizon format is the opposite.Previous studies on the operational performance of different reference formats for unusual flight attitude recovery are not uniform.At the same time,there are few studies on the effect of new direction indicator technology,such as extended horizon design and roll scale design.Therefore,this study will focus on the role of attitude direction indicator in unusual flight attitude recovery operation,aiming to explore the impact of reference format,horizon design and roll scale design on the operation performance of different flight experience personnel in the process of unusual flight attitude recovery operation.Based on the literature review and review,this paper puts forward the research hypothesis.120 college students and 6 pilots were selected as subjects to carry out the behavior experiment,and the unusual attitude recovery task was used.Study 1 is divided into two experiments.Experiment 1 and Experiment 2 respectively explore the influence of reference format and horizon design on the reversal error rate and response time of novice pilots and pilots’ unusual flight attitude recovery operations,as well as the influence on their workload.Study 2 is divided into two experiments too.On the basis of expanding horizon to improve the operator’s performance of unusual flight attitude recovery operation,Experiment 3 and Experiment 4 respectively explore the impact of reference format and roll scale design on the reversal error rate and response time of novice pilots and pilots’ unusual flight attitude recovery operation,as well as the impact on their workload.The results of study 1 show that,for both novice pilots and pilots,the advantages of mobile aircraft reference format over mobile horizon format still exist in the operation of unusual flight attitude recovery;the use of extended horizon improves the performance of novice pilots’ unusual attitude recovery operation,and reduces the differences between mobile aircraft and mobile horizon in pilot subjects.The results of study 2 show that for novice pilots,the advantages of mobile aircraft reference format over mobile horizon format still exist.The use of new roll scale design improves novice pilots and pilots’unusual attitude recovery operations,and reduces the differences between mobile aircraft and mobile horizon in novice pilots and pilots.Conclusion:(1)flight experience will affect the performance of attitude recovery.However,the design of flight attitude direction indicator interface can improve the performance of different flight experience groups on the recovery of unusual flight attitude.(2)The mobile aircraft format has more advantages than the mobile horizon format.The results of inversion error rate and response time obtained by using the mobile aircraft format for those with or without flight experience are better than those using the mobile horizon format.(3)The extended horizon design improves the performance of the experienced pilots in the two reference formats,and reduces the performance difference between the pilots on the mobile aircraft and the mobile horizon,but has little impact on the inexperienced pilots.(4)The new roll scale design is superior to the traditional roll scale design.The new roll scale design has the advantages that the traditional roll scale design does not have.To a certain extent,it can improve the speed and accuracy of operation.Significance:in this study,the unusual flight attitude recovery operation is studied,and the basic theory of psychology is applied to the flight operation,which can promote the understanding of human cognitive behavior performance mode in human-computer interface in theory,and provide empirical support for improving aviation safety management in practice.
