An Analysis Of The Development Process Of Western Ecological Marxism

Since modern times,especially since the Industrial Revolution,the rapid development of science and technology has promoted the rapid development of social productivity and people's living standards have been continuously improved.However,while people's lives continue to improve,the environment on which mankind depends for survival has been severely damaged.In the 1960 s,many Western countries faced serious ecological problems,and ecological crises once threatened human survival.In this regard,some Western scholars have turned their attention to ecological issues,and their research on ecological crises has produced a series of theoretical views,which is the ecological Marxism theory.The formation of the ecological Marxism theory was not achieved overnight,but experienced a long process of development.The thesis analyzes the development process of ecological Marxism from three dimensions:First,it analyzes the social and historical background of the emergence and development of ecological Marxism.The emergence and evolution of the global ecological crisis is the main reason for the formation and development of ecological Marxism;and the practice under the ecological crisis-the development of the green movement provides practical experience for the formation and development of ecological Marxism;the emergence of ecological crisis makes a classic Marxism is facing a crisis,and the criticism and reflection on the crisis of classic Marxism has also become an important content of ecological Marxism.Second,it analyzes the continuous enrichment and development of the theoretical origin of ecological Marxism.The emergence and development of ecological Marxism does not appear randomly,but has its profound theoretical origins.The theoretical origin of ecological Marxism comes from the criticism and reconstruction of Marx's ecological thought on the one hand,and the inheritance and development of the critical theory of the Frankfurt School on the other.In addition,the continuous emergence of modern ecology-related disciplines provides theoretical support for the development and perfection of ecological MarxismThirdly,it analyzes the core theories and theoretical characteristics of ecological Marxism.There are many theoretical viewpoints of ecological Marxism,but in general,there are two issues that have always been of concern to ecological Marxism: The first is that the exploration of the root of the ecological crisis has experienced the understanding from the surface to the essence;the second is that the position of the relationship between man and nature has shifted from ecocentrism to anthropocentrism,which is constantly becoming rationalized.By analyzing the evolution of ecological Marxism,it can be concluded that the changes in its theoretical characteristics have changed from focusing on theoretical research to focusing on practice and then to the diversified development of theory.Based on the analysis of the development process of ecological Marxism from three dimensions,this paper reviews the development process of ecological Marxism and provides practical enlightenment for the construction of ecological civilization in our country.In the development process of ecological Marxism,there are not only reasonable analysis of practical problems,but also unrealistic theoretical ideas.Therefore,it is necessary to treat various behaviors in the development process dialectically.China has entered the new era,although its economic development has leapt to the forefront of the world,it is also facing serious ecological problems.The Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core put forward the concept of building a socialist ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics in response to environmental issues.The experience and lessons in the development of Western Ecological Marxism can provide useful enlightenment for the construction of my country's ecological civilization.
