Abstract/Summary:
The winding layer bonding method is a tire tread molding method that is currently widely used.Compared with the tread extrusion method in tread molding,the winding layer bonding method is equipped with a modern control system and winding production line,which is more flexible and more efficient than the extrusion method.With the development of visualization technology,the computer closed-loop control of the tread winding layer bonding method has been widely used,but the consistency of the wound tread is poor and the production efficiency is low.The open-loop control of the tread winding layer bonding method can improve production efficiency and ensure tread consistency.However,the tread winding simulation system mostly uses straight lines and arcs to profile the curve in the winding process,the wound tread Performance is poor.Therefore,the design and development of a NURBS curve-based tire tread winding simulation system for the open-loop controlled tread winding process has great significance for improving the quality of the tread and production efficiency.Aiming at the problem of poor tread performance caused by the existing winding simulation software using straight lines and arcs to profile the curve,it is proposed to use the NURBS curve to profile the tire baseline,ideal tread curve and rubber strip curve during the winding process to improve the winding output and the quality of the tread.In order to determine the starting point of the rubber strip and calculate the bottom curve of the rubber strip,an algorithm for calculating the distance between two NURBS curves based on the straightline NURBS curve intersection algorithm and a NURBS curve splicing algorithm based on the principle of equal arc length discrete NURBS curve algorithm are proposed and perform simulation verification.According to the tire tread winding process and its principles,using the mathematical and geometric characteristics of the NURBS curve,a tire tread winding algorithm based on the NURBS curve is proposed,and the algorithm is verified and analyzed in combination with the company’s requirements.On this basis,the tread winding simulation system based on NURBS curve was designed and developed,and the tread process parameters were selected to test the system performance,and the system function was tested based on the black box test technology,which verified the feasibility and reliability of the system.The tread winding simulation system based on NURBS curve designed and developed in this paper is used to determine the trajectory parameters of the winding drum and winding machine head during the tread winding process under open loop control,and to improve the quality of the tread and the production efficiency.
