This article summarizes the latest research progress of Glass Mat Reinforced Thermoplastics plastic board,analyzes the preparation process of plastic template,to the advantages and disadvantages of plastic template,and then to the application of plastic template in different fields.It investigates polypropylene plastic template products,mainly domestic Companies researching plastic templates have conducted surveys on the use of some products.We analyzed the molding processes of different plastic templates,including two types of plastic template molding processes:extrusion process research and hot-pressing process.We have summarized the principles of these two processes.The extrusion method prepares the plastic template:Compared with the pure polypropylene template,the flexural strength of the polypropylene/glass fiber template is increased from 46.9 MPa to 53.1 MPa,and the flexural modulus of elasticity is increased from 1525 MPa to 2095 MPa.PP-g-MAH content was increased from 0 to 10%,the flexural strength of the composite was increased from 53.1 MPa to 160 MPa,and after the PP-g-MAH content was more than 10%,the flexural strength of the composite was increased from53.1 MPa to 160 MPa,and the flexural strength of the composite was increased from 10%to100%,with the addition of PP-g-MAH,the change is not obvious.The bending modulus of the material also reaches the maximum when the content of PP-g-MAH is 10%.In the process of preparing composite materials,the choice of raw materials will greatly affect the performance of the materials.For T30S,SF35,EPS30R three grades of polypropylene,the melt index of the three materials gradually increases,which directly affects the processing fluidity of the composite material.The impact strength of the three grades of polypropylene exceeds the standard of the polypropylene/glass fiber template.At the same time,using SF35 to prepare the polypropylene/glass fiber composite with the best bending mechanical properties,and other properties also meet the requirements of the building template,the surface hardness of86H_D,room temperature water absorption rate of 0.046%,combustion grade D.Studies have shown that the Vicat softening temperature of the polypropylene/glass fiber composites prepared by using the above three different grades of polypropylene exceeds120°C,which meets the requirements of actual construction.At the same time,other properties of polypropylene/glass fiber composites prepared by using the best compounding scheme have also been studied.For example,the surface hardness is 86H_D,the water absorption rate at room temperature is 0.046%,not more than 0.5%,and the combustion grade is Class D.Adding PP-g-MAH to polypropylene/glass fiber composite materials can greatly improve the bending resistance of composite materials.The advantage of the extrusion process lies in its simplicity,with previous production experience,which can basically meet the conditions.The disadvantage is that the process is relatively backward,the plate is warped,and the machine is worn during the production process.This process can be used as a repair of the damaged template.Hot-pressing method to prepare plastic templates:According to the investigation of many enterprises in the early stage,the hot-pressing method has the prospect of actual industrial production.Firstly,it is extruded with a mixing screw of polypropylene and MAH and then pressed with glass fiber felt to form a semi-finished product,and then the sheet is cut,laminated and pressurized to form a spline.The sample prepared by the SF35 resin with a melt index of 35 has the best performance,with a bending strength of about 180 MPa and an elastic modulus of more than 6000 MPa.Therefore,consider using polypropylene resin with the grade of SF35 as the matrix resin,and use maleic anhydride to graft polypropylene to study the effect of maleic anhydride addition on the performance of composite materials.The best performance is when the content of polypropylene is controlled at 7.5%.
