Vanadium-known as the"vitamin of modern industry",has been widely used in various fields such as petrochemical industry,energy,steel and metallurgy industry as a vital material for modern national defense and modern science and technology.In recent years,with the widespread application of vanadium flow batteries in photovoltaic power generation,wind power generation,aerospace,municipal transportation,and national science and technology military fields,the demand for vanadium pentoxide has increased.Major social security issues such as industrial environmental pollution and greenhouse effect that may be caused by the vanadium-element production process are also becoming increasingly serious and should not be underestimated.In the current situation where the task of energy saving and emission reduction is very difficult,identifying the economic and environmental influencing factors of the vanadium pentoxide industry,reducing cost input and pollution emissions,can bring good economic and environmental benefits.Life cycle assessment(LCA)and life cycle cost(LCC),as a tool for environmental assessment and economic analysis,are currently the most advanced environmental and economic management methods in the world and can provide enterprises with important means of product design.It can comprehensively and scientifically evaluate the various environmental and key cost factors that an enterprise may produce in its life cycle.From the perspective of life cycle,this paper establishes a life cycle list of vanadium pentoxide products of a company in northern my country,characterizes and normalizes its environmental impact values,and identifies the environmental and environmental impacts during the production process of vanadium pentoxide.The key processes and key substances that affect the economy.Finally,the coal in the production process of vanadium pentoxide is replaced with natural gas,and the environmental-cost-benefit analysis is carried out on some environmental impact types after"gas replacing coal".The results show that the greatest environmental impact during the production of vanadium pentoxide is environmental acidification,followed by eutrophication.Among them,the impact of environmental acidification accounted for 29.7%of the total impact,and the impact of eutrophication accounted for 27.37%of the total impact.From an economic point of view,the production of raw materials in the production of vanadium pentoxide accounts for a large proportion of the cost,and quicklime accounts for a large proportion of the cost of raw materials.The environmental impact and cost-effectiveness of the use of natural gas to replace coal in different proportions are studied,and the environmental impact and cost-effectiveness of the different proportions of raw materials are compared.The results show that replacing all coal with natural gas can reduce the greenhouse effect during the production of vanadium pentoxide by 19.17%and reduce by 4.85×10 t·t-1..
