With the development of human society, people need to access information anytime and anywhere. From the point-to-point communication to the current wireless communication technology,it is undoubtedly a great progress. However, the demand for wireless communication has gone beyond the initial simple communication. In the past ten years, the demand for data transmission was improved, and the quality of wireless communication got higher and higher. However, due to the diversity of the earth's topography and climate, the quality and efficiency of wireless communications are often affected by the topography and meteorological environment.Radio signals are affected by fine weather, the rain, the fog, forests,or atmospheric ducts. So the article mainly analyzes from the following three parts:Firstly, this article starts with the basic principles of the parabolic equation method. Then the derivation process of the two-dimensional parabolic equation and the three-dimensional parabolic equation is introduced in detail. At the same time, the distributed Fourier algorithm under the corresponding equation is explained. Then initial field calculation methods and boundary conditions are given, and DMFT is used to deal forest and atmospheric duct attenuation problems.Secondly, the foggy environment is regarded as the mixture of spherical particles and air. Then the raining environment is regarded as the mixture of ellipsoidal particles and air.And the complicated meteorological forest environment model is established to study the problem of radio wave attenuation. Finally, the atmospheric duct over the sea is introduced, including evaporation waveguides, surface waveguides, suspended waveguides and mixed waveguides. Then the application range of this four kinds of waveguides is given.Next the refractive index parameter model of the four kinds of atmospheric duct is analyzed. And these refractive index parameter models are used to study the problem of radio wave attenuation in different waveguides. Finally, the forest and atmospheric duct are combined to study the wave attenuation in large scale complex scenes, which provides a strong support for the research of calculating radio wave attenuation in large area scenes.
