Research On The Quality Control Method Of Simulated Weather Radar Data Based On Systemvue | | Posted on:2021-07-17 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Q Y C Wang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2510306725452204 | Subject:Meteorological detection technology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | System Vue is an electronic system level(ESL)of Electronic Design Automation(EDA)software developed by Agilent Company.In System Vue,radar receivers,transmitters,antennas,targets,etc.can be simulated by building and applying weather radar system modules.In order to enchance the research and observations on severe weather events,China started deploying a new generation of weather radar called CINRAD nationwide since1998,and has built a new generation of weather radar detection network covering the whole country.Ground clutter,velocity ambiguity and range folding are three inherent problems harming the data quality for CINRAD systems.At present,simulated or authentic radar data are mainly used to verify and improve the three quality control algorithms.However,the simulated data are somehow detached from reality and different from the data captured from real radar,hence the validated results with simulated data maybe are not applicable to actual radars.For the verification with authentic radar data,the radar would be generally stopped operating routine tasks and switched to engage into the experiment,which take potential failure risk as the expected targets probably do not occur during experiment time..To solve this problem,this paper focus on the study of the data quality control algorithms with simulated weather radar system based on System Vue.Using the simulated weather radar system to study the data quality control algorithm not only renders the need for real radars unnecessary,but also produce various target tests and verifications by modifying the radar system parameters,etc.so that the quality control algorithm is closer to actual needs.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)The component library of weather radar signal processing algorithm was designed with System Vue.A testing environments was built in System Vue and Programming combine System Vue along with C++ to complete the test and verification for weather radar signal processing algorithm.(2)Base on Gaussian model,Radar data(weather echo signal,ground object echo signal and mixed echo signal)under three different weather conditions are simulated with Matlab programming..Validations shows that the characteristics of simulated radar echo data conform to the radar echo data characteristics of real weather.It can be used to verify the quality control algorithm.(3)Pulse-Pair Processing,IIR Elliptic Filtering and CLEAN-AP Filtering algorithm components were created and a verification test was built in the System Vue.The simulated radar data and authentic radar data are used for comparative analysis.The results shows that PPP algorithm component retrieve base data from radar echoes more accurately;IIR Elliptic Filter component and CLEANAP Filter component are able to suppress ground clutter with hight clutter suppression ratio.(4)According to the principle of valocity ambiguity reduction algorithm under DPRF mode and IIR Elliptic Filtering algorithm,DPRF algorithm components are created and validated in System Vue.The quality control effect of DPRF algorithm components is qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by using simulated and real radar echo data.The results shows that DPRF algorithm component can effectively reduce the influence of ground clutter by using IIR Elliptic Filter,and reduce the velocity ambiguityin the radial velocity calculated by single PRF.(5)The CLEAN-AP clutter suppression algorithm was improved under uniform pulse mode.The improved CLEAN-AP Filtering algorithm was used to suppress clutter in SPRT mode.Then,SPRT algorithm components were created and a verification test was built based on the improved CLEAN-AP Filtering algorithm and the principle of valocity ambiguity mitigation algorithm in System Vue.The quality control effect of SPRT algorithm components was qualitatively analyzed by using simulated and real radar echo data.The results show that SPRT algorithm component can effectively decrease the impact of ground clutter by using CLEAN-AP Elliptic Filter,and relieve the velocity ambiguity for the radial velocity calculated by single PRF.(6)The quality control effects of DPRF and SPRT algorithms were compared with the simulated weather radar system.It can be concluded that all components can effectively relieve the impact of clutter and velocity ambiguity.The quality control efficacy of SPRT algorithms compoment using CLEAN-AP Elliptic Filter is better than that of DPRF algorithms compoment using IIR Elliptic Filter. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | System Vue, Weather Radar, Quality Control, DPRF, SPRT | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
