Fast Radio Bursts(FRBs)are short-duration and high-density radio bursts from space.FRBs have very distinct observational characteristics.Their time scales are in the order of milliseconds, but the radiation brightness is very high. The luminosity of fast radio bursts is approximately1038-1046ergsand the corresponding isotropic energy is about1035-1043erg.The short time scale of fast radio bursts and the bad positioning ability of radio telescopes result in the unconfirmed redshift of most FRBs.The dispersion measure(DM)of FRBs is usually used to estimate the redshift of the burst source and its distance from us.In terms of observation, some FRBs are observed to have subsequent outbursts after the first discovered, while some FRBs do not show such a recurrence behavior.Current theories and observations indicate that the two types of FRBs may have different physical origins,so it is necessary to test FRBs statistically. Therefore,in this article,we have carried out a statistical comparative study on the observation parameters of repeating and non-repetiting FRBs.In the first chapter,we introduce the main observation equipment, the discovery process and the research progress of FRBs.In Chapter 2,we describe some theoretical models of FRBs.In Chapter 3,we present the results of our statistical tests on repeating and non-repeating FRBs,which provides a scientific reference for the follow-up study of FRBs.At last,we summarize the whole paper, and forecasts future development trends of FRBs.
