Research On The Value Evaluation Of Professional Basketball Club

Under the background of economic globalization and the adjustment of the world industrial structure,sports industry has become the main part of the nat ional economic system in the world.Professional basketball clubs,a basic entit y unit in the sports industry,are also developing rapidly,and the value of the basketball industry in the public mind is also increasing,make the value of ou r country basketball industry rises ceaselessly.Internationally,professional sport s clubs have become the new darling of capital investment,and the major eval uation companies in Europe and the United States have given the evaluation of professional sports clubs corresponding value ranking.However,the developme nt of China’s basketball industry is relatively backward,the related research on the value of basketball industry is only theoretical,and there is no complete st udy on the valuation of professional basketball clubs.Therefore,if we can esta blish a logical model of the value of the professional basketball club,the entit y unit of the basketball industry,and get a reasonable evaluation value,for the future basketball industry as well as the development of the entire sports indu stry has important practical significance.This paper first introduces the connotation and development process of pro fessional basketball club,analyzes the current situation of professional basketbal l club evaluation and the applicability of conventional evaluation methods,the author analyzes the defects and deficiencies of the conventional methods in eva luating professional basketball clubs,and studies the value-creating forms of pr ofessional basketball clubs by taking the relatively mature American professiona l basketball league as the object,this paper compares the value creation form of professional basketball clubs in China with that in foreign countries,and ob tains the problems existing in the development of professional basketball in Ch ina at present.Then combined with the characteristics of professional basketbal l,from the macro and micro level of the value of professional basketball club analysis of the factors,a comprehensive overview of the club’s income,profit and star power and other factors.Then,using the data of 30 professional bask etball clubs in NBA League,the value evaluation model of professional basket ball clubs is established through factor analysis and multiple linear regression,t he advantage of this model is that it can clearly reflect the linear relationship between value and various influencing factors,but the value-influencing mechan ism of professional basketball clubs is more complicated,the relationship betwe en club value and variables may also be non-linear,and BP artificial neural ne twork can also simulate the non-linear relationship among variables better,and get more realistic conclusions,therefore,it is reasonable to use the above two models to establish the value evaluation model of professional basketball club.In the case analysis part,this research chooses the Guangzhou Dragon and Lio n Basketball Club,which is the first listed club in the representative CBA（Ch inese men’s Basketball League）in China,the evaluation time point was establis hed as 2020 December 31,removing the 2020-2021 season,which was seriousl y affected by the new crown epidemic,selecting the data of the previous seas on and combining with the concrete situation of the development of China’s ba sketball industry,through the analysis of each variable,the enterprise value of the basketball club is obtained by the above two models.The applicability of th e two models in predicting the value of professional basketball clubs is verifie d by a case study.To sum up,this paper analyzes the development and characteristics of pro fessional basketball clubs and the corresponding value assessment theory,discus ses the applicability of the conventional value assessment,at the same time,by comparing the value creation forms of professional basketball clubs at home a nd abroad,and analyzing the influencing factors of the value of professional b asketball clubs from the two levels of macrocosm and microcosm;Combined with the characteristics of the management of professional clubs and the compl exity of the influencing factors,the evaluation models of professional basketbal l clubs are constructed based on the factor analysis,multi-element Regression a nalysis and BP artificial neural network,respectively,the above two models pr ovide a new reference direction for the value evaluation of professional basketb all clubs and contribute to the development of China’s basketball industry.
