In 2015,Tencent launched a mobile game called Arena of Valor.At the time,no one thought that such an attempt would push mobile games to a new era of interaction.One year after the release of Arena Of Valor,the number of gamers has exploded,and the current daily active players have exceeded 100 million.Arena Of Valor fills the gaps in people’s lives with its fragmented gameplay,allowing people to meet their social needs while entertaining and relaxing.The huge success of Arena of Valor in the game field not only provided a boost to the "savage" development of China’s mobile game industry,but also made people pay attention to the future development trend of video games.At the same time,the natural social attributes of the game Arena of Valor and its influence in the social field have also drawn people’s attention to the new development and new changes in the social game of cyberspace games.Media Situation Theory was originally proposed by Meyrowitz in his book The Disappearing Territory: The Influence Of Electronic Media On Social Behavior.up,that is,new media lead to new scenarios,and new scenarios lead to new behaviors.Although this theory was put forward in the context of American society in the late 1960 s,and the main research object was television,it still has important reference value for the study of social behavior in the Internet age.In the Internet era,new media and new technologies have created a new media scene,which is more realistic,efficient and complex,and has derived its unique subcultural space,which has a non-negligible impact on players in virtual and real life.Based on Meyrowitz’s media situation theory,studying the social behavior of games under new media and new scenarios not only enriches the connotation of media situation theory,but also provides a new perspective for contemporary research in this field.On the basis of summarizing and sorting out previous researches,this paper takes the new media,new scenes,and new behaviors in the media situation theory as clues to explore the media attributes of the mobile game Arena Of Valor and the new media scenes in it,as well as the new media scenes in the mobile game Arena Of Valor.A series of new social behaviors appearing in people’s media scene.The main body of the article consists of six parts.The first part of the introduction introduces the research background,research significance,literature review,research methods and research innovation of the article;the second part revolves around the keyword "new media" and explores the Arena Of Valor from various aspects such as the number of players,social platforms and social and cultural influences.The mass media attributes of a phenomenon-level mobile game like Glory;the third part revolves around the keyword "new scene",and specifically summarizes and summarizes the scenes built by players in Arena Of Valor relying on the rules and mechanisms of the game medium itself.Demonstration;the fourth part revolves around the keyword "new behavior" and is divided into an experimental part and a conclusion part.The experimental part is conducted by means of interviews,and then the characteristics of the game’s social behaviors are summarized by sorting out and analyzing the results of the interviews;The fifth part analyzes the current phenomena and problems based on the conclusions of the previous chapter,and gives some opinions and suggestions from four aspects: the player level,the game level,the industry level and the national level;the sixth part makes a review of the conclusions of this research Summarize,reflect on the limitations and deficiencies of the research,and imagine the future.Games are of great significance to the promotion of the development of communication media,and there is still more room for development of virtual game social networking in the future.Through this research,the author hopes to not only describe the new scenes created by the game media,and discover the new behaviors of players in the new scenes,but also to deepen the understanding of mobile game developers and operators on the social needs of players,and at the same time,for the future virtual social interaction.Behavior-related research offers some new perspectives.
