| Objective: This study explores the important factors affecting students’ mental subhealth by understanding the detection rate of psychological subhealth in Hefei No.7Middle School, and further explores the relationship between mental subhealth and physical health on this basis. Methods: In this study,a total of 1174 students(583 boys and 591 girls)aged from16 to 18 years old in Hefei No.7 Middle School were randomly selected with the method of "stratified cluster sampling" for physical fitness test and questionnaire survey.Chi-square test, independent sample T test, logistic regression and covariance analysis were used for data analysis.Results:(1)The detection rate of overall mental subhealth in Hefei No.7 Middle School students was 34.6%,36.4% in girls and 32.8% in boys, and there was no significant difference between genders(P > 0.05).(2)The risk of mental subhealth was 0.483 times for "less than 1 hour" and 【0.316 times for "more than 1 hour and less than 2 hours",with statistical significance(P < 0.05).In terms of eating breakfast, the risk of eating breakfast almost all was the lowest(0.167times)with statistical significance(P < 0.05).In terms of defecation, with "frequent constipation" as the reference, the risk of "basically normal" was the lowest(0.336 times),and the result was statistically significant(P < 0.05).In terms of fatigue degree, taking "often" as the reference, the risk of "occasionally" was 0.476 times, and that of "hardly at all" was 0.07 times, and the results were statistically significant(P < 0.001).The influence of other factors was not statistically significant.(3)The BMI of sub-mental health students(22.2 kg/m2)was higher than that of non-sub-mental health students(21.5 kg/m2),the difference was statistically significant(P=0.001);In terms of physical fitness, the grip strength of sub-mental health students(34.8kg)and 30 seconds sit-up(19.3 times)were higher than those of non-sub-mental health students(32.9kg and 17.7 times),and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).The students with sub-mental health had lower sitting flexion(14.3cm),20-meter round trip(45.3 times)and 20-second crossing(34.1 times)than those without sub-mental health(19.5cm,47.3 times and 35.2 times),and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in other physical fitness items.Conclusions:(1)There was no gender difference in the detection rate of mental subhealth in Hefei No.7 Middle School students.(2)Long video screen time, skipping breakfast, eating snacks frequently, abnormal bowel movement, not paying attention to health and daily fatigue may be the important factors leading to psychological sub-health of hefei No.7 middle School students.(3)The students with sub-mental health had higher BMI,poor flexibility, cardiopulmonary endurance and sensitive coordination. |
